Florida lawmakers have approved a package of gun control measures designed to prevent another mass shooting like the one at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., last month.

THE TWO-WAY
What We Know About The Florida School Shooting Suspect

The state House voted 67-50 to approve changes such as raising the legal age for buying rifles and imposing a three-day waiting period for all gun sales. The measure also allows for the arming of some school personnel.

The vote reflected a mix of support and opposition from both Republicans and Democrats, and GOP Gov. Rick Scott has not indicated whether he will sign it, the Associated Press reports.

this is what happens when you get out from behind what you're doing and take a stand with positive disrupt.

Cruz owned guns long before 3 days prior to the murders.
School shooters all but a couple owned their weapons long before they were 18,
often gifted or handed down to them by elders.

Restrictions imposed on firearm purchases to those who are being treated for any type of mental illness
with any experimental psychotropic drug need to exist before this ever stops.
The majority of school shooters were being treated for suicidal and schizophrenic symptoms with
drugs that labels warn of hostility, uncontrollable anger, black outs, and suicide.
This fact is being ignored for the last 25 years and this is why we experience school shootings currently, by those exact described perpetrators=medicated mentally ill boys with guns

I support measures that make it more difficult for anyone to purchase a firearm when they've clearly admitted their murderous desires to millions of people at once, broadcasted and bragged of it months before doing it. Maybe youtube back ground checks would have helped?
ooh thats right, the fbi already saw the video, knew exaclty how many guns this guy had amassed and when he purchased them

One step forward at least.
I don't like the arming teacher shit though
It would have been nice to see a ban on high capacity magazines and AR 15's also, but take what you can.
the larger questions is, will it get signed or will Marion Hammer (Florida's 40 year NRA queen lobbyist) has something to say about..?

stay tuned folks..same bat time..same bat channel.

His unchecked mental instability and access to firearms is what caused this as did virtually every shooting of this nature.

Magazine size is irrelevant when the shooter isn't presented with any resistance, and his use of a non high capacity mag in this shooting supports that.

jared loughner was only stopped when he dropped his 30 round magazine going to change it out.

dozens of kindergarteners escaped with their lives while adam lanza was switching out his magazines.

the aurora theater massacre was only stopped when james homes' 100 round drum jammed up.

you really are quite stupid and should not talk, because when you talk it only proves how stupid you are.

Especially with a teacher just locked himself in the classroom a few days ago and fired his gun out the window. (No shit. Right here in Georgia a teacher flipped his fucking lid, locked himself in the classroom and fired a few random shots out the window.)

I've said it a million times at least: the answer to a gun problem is not and never has been more guns.

You're a fucking moron.

In the hands of the typical citizen, it takes about 4 seconds to change a clip.

There's a BIG FUCKING DIFFERENCE BETWEEN:

Is it your claim that gun control laws don't work?

Countries with gun control laws have nowhere near the rate of gun homicides and mass shootings seen in the US. They don't have undiagnosed unstable people opening fire every month somewhere in their country. Are you saying that the US has many times more undiagnosed unstable people than those countries? Can you point us to any evidence that this is true?

When this insufficient law goes into effect and another mass shooting happens in Fla, gun nuts will say gun laws don't work.

So if somebody is threatening you with a gun and you are unarmed, do you show them the law and they drop the gun and run away screaming ? How does that work again?
the argument you just made is against all laws, which is a stupid fucking argument.

then again, you are fucking stupid
