The Agromax line is a fraction of the cost and work great. Those are looking great! Sure trained that one wide open eh.
You flowering under the T-5s? Have you seen the ones Hortilux makes now. Not cheap I bet but they make great HID bulbs so the T-5s are likely real good too. I wouldn't mind getting some T-5s but just blew another $800 on grow stuff so I better get growing.
I switched my furnace, stove, water heater and dryer to gas. Its way cheaper than electric.I'm curious if the gas is advertised cheap then when you get your bill its triple ... as those fuckers are relentless haha
Would cost me thousands to switch those over but sure wish it was already done when I bought this place.I switched my furnace, stove, water heater and dryer to gas. Its way cheaper than electric.

Running gas lines is what would cost me a lot of dough. It's a mobile home too so there's a big bag of insulation to get through everywhere and already a mess in the basement where it was hacked into. Gas heat everywhere and that helps a lot tho a gas water heater and stove would be nice. I'm lucky most everything is working OK tho the clothes washer just bought it. Picked up a new drill pump so I can get the water out of it. Pretty sure it's just an old relay switch I can probably fix with some emery cloth. Like points on older cars. Can hear a clunk when you turn the machine on to start the wash cycle then after a few seconds it shuts down. Bad relay is what I'm hearing.I did it as things needed replacing.
Gas lines aren't that bad. The long sections are affordable. I measured all the pieces and the local hardware store cut them and threaded them. Various fittings and elbows and such. A long run can be expensive. I think it was than a couple hundred for about a 30 foot run and all the fittings.Running gas lines is what would cost me a lot of dough. Not sure about the legality of running my own gas lines. Already a little worried about the electrical lines I've installed tho put them in according to code they weren't inspected by a qualified electrician. That is legal but don't know about gas. If we ever had a fire I wouldn't want my insurance to be refused. Been paying $140.mth for the last 16 years and could have bought a new house for the money.Gas lines aren't that bad. It could be costly but its not too bad.
I'm sure its perfectly legal. Most hardware stores sell gas lines and fittings. Its not hard to do. Just put gas tape on the threads and tighten good. Once everything is connected you can either turn the gas on or pressurized the line. Then take a mixture of soap and water and spray every connection and look for bubbles. Not sure about the legality of running my own gas lines. I think we're on our 5th stove since moving in here. Just had to replace out clothes washer after the 1990 GE one packed it in. Got a fairly new one from a friend for $100 and it's so much quieter.
I got no problem with doing the work. I got a lot of gas training when I used to deliver propane way up north in Zama City. I'll check into the legal aspects but likely won't be doing anything soon. Still thinking of getting the hell out of here and back to civilization but wouldn't get enough for this place to buy another place anywhere populated like in BC.I'm sure its perfectly legal. I understand if you don't want to though.

Too bad I just replaced my electric water heater a couple years ago. Would have been fairly easy to hook that up except for the need of a chimney. The main part of our house is a mobile home so that complicates things a bit too. I'm pretty handy and have lots of tools but I ain't no contractor.
We have all gas heat so that helps. I've wired a plug into my furnace so I can can plug my generator into it and keep the place from freezing up and from that can feed power to the gas heater in the shop. It has one of those radiant tube heaters that run the length of the shop and are pretty efficient. During the winter we keep it at around 50F unless like now the wife has a bunch of fresh chicks then we run it around 60. They got a small heat lamp in their little coop so don't need it too warm. Wife is pretty good about keeping cages clean so it doesn't smell too bad in there. If she can tolerate my hobby I guess I can deal with hers.I was just tossing ideas out.
I switched myself because the meter was already here. As things needed replacing I switched them to gas.
One reason for me is that in winter we have been without electric for extended times. I use the wall mount gas heaters as back up.
bought single component stuff before from a place called Vetco in WA.I left the cuttings in the warm cloner too long and got a bit of root rot going but dosed the new tub with lots of peroxide and it seems to have worked. That was 5 days ago and everybody is still looking OK and roots are coming out of the pots with the Critical Mass. The tub with the CBD girls isn't showing roots yet so hand watering a bit. They have a couple inches of balls to grow thru before they will show so no panic yet.

The greener ones at the top are the Goldfish 'B'. Smoking some or both now and the 'B' seems to 'B' the best so far.
6 dead holes filled with balls to to block light. I put the pots in baggies and fill them with balls to plug up the unused holes.
I'm keeping the room temp at 70F so the nute temp stays lower but planning to move the tubs upstairs and using the chiller to keep temps down so I can put my larger plants down there and get them flowering under the 1000w Hortilux. Then I can let the temps run up closer to 90 and run the CO2 burner. I'll take a bunch of cuttings off those first. Some haven't even showed sex yet.
Two unsexed Blueberry on the far left and the other one right front in the larger pot as it's shown to be a girl. One of the two AK47 front and center with the other behind it and the 3 Otto clones on a couple of inverted plant pots way at the back. May need one to go into the tub downstairs as it looks like I broke one. The OG #18 is the biggest one in the back on the right side. The Critical Mass is the smaller one in the white 1L pot and will be the mother of more to come if they are decent smoke.
Watch Kitty guarding the door.
Anyone know where a guy can buy small quantities of electrical parts? I need one each 43 and 430ohm resistors and a LM334Z current limiter to build a gizmo for my colloidal silver generator. Tried a Source store but he can only get quantities of 100 each so unless I go into the business of making these units it's a lot more than I need. lol
Wow @OldMedUser glad to hear you finally found out what was ailing you and had it repaired! Scary shit right there. Just catching your journal, nice work and thanks for sharing!I'm so far behind on everything but recently had a serious health problem fixed that I didn't even know I had. I thought I was gluten or lactose intolerant as I've had trouble with my guts the last 3 years. Turns out it was an appendix that tried to blow back then but blew a little hole near the base and has been leaking poison into my belly the whole time. Almost lost a big chunk of my colon but the operation went great and all is well now. My constant fatigue was my body using a lot of resources to fight an ongoing infection. Doc said I must have a hell of an immune system not to have got peritonitis in all that time. Day after I get home from that, yesterday, I'm off in an ambulance again for a damned kidney stone that formed from the severe dehydration I was undergoing. Showed up in the CAT scan that caught the appendix problem but was non-obstructive so they never told me or I would have known what was going on and toughed it out another 20 min at home. After abdominal surgery I wasn't taking no chances with incredible pain like that. Never again I hope.
Already feeling like a champ again and eating like a horse to get back the 12 lbs or so I lost. Down to 129 at my last weigh in.
