It's been a rough winter for my depression and I haven't cared well for my girls but have lately been getting my shit together.

The DWC plants never grew any roots and I'm certain that it's something in the plastic they make these new cold weather tubs out of. I've done 50 tubs worth over the last 17 years and never had this happen. Transferred the plants to pots of ProMix and the survivors are doing fine.

Almost ready to flip a bunch to flower. The big OG#18 is in a grey 5gal pail at the back with her branches all bent over and strapped to the screen for a vertical ScroG thingy. The other plants are on either side or under the 1000W Hortilux that is riding in and out of the group on the light rail. Just got everybody repotted and set up in the last two weeks. New growth is perfect and coming in strong.

These are the 3 Critical Mass clones I took out of DWC on the verge of death but really getting in gear two weeks later in 2L pots.
The previously potted clone in the background. Much bigger and going to be flowered with this batch while the three in front will stay in veg upstairs for now.

The Critical mass all have this double serration on the leaf margins. Different.

I have a male Blueberry in there too that I will be taking cuttings off of to keep a father plant or two and get fresh BB pollen when needed. Want some soon to cross with my Otto#1.

Those to be flowered are the OG#18, 2 - BB girls, 2 - AK47 fems and the larger Critical Mass which will be up-potted to a 4 gal pot ASAP. Cuts from all will be taken prior to the flip.

Those to be sprouted real soon are [(NL x Purple Indica) x BubbleGum] and Island Sweet Skunk x JD Shorts Blueberry. At least 9 of each for mom selection and breeding out hermies in the ISS ones. Will be force flowering and pollinating in small pots to get 4 generations in one year. Want to cross both with my Otto#1 for CBD versions.

More stuff going on upstairs but that's for later. Getting bombed now. pass.gif

Interesting room set up.

The double serration on that leaf shows good skunk lineage. Both of the different critical mass I grew had that. One more random than the other.

One CM was a euro bred bulk seed market seed I was asked to try and he other was from Shantibaba himself. Feminized for a breeder I know.

Fruity and skunky. Nice smoke.

Thanks for the insight. Buddy gave me 5 fresh cuttings and I got these 4 rooted. Last Xmas I ordered a half oz of Critical Mass CBD from a compassion club I'm a member of in Kelowna, BC. Not as good as the Sweet Skunk CBD I got a year prior but not bad. I made both into cocobudder which is my preferred way to use it.

I'm looking forward to trying some bud off these and the others. Staring at this vial of seeds the same guy gave me. [(NL x Purple Indica) x Bubblegum] Got to be some good vibes in there somewhere! A sprouting I will go! :)

Thanks.

Been meaning to do an update so stay tuned for further entertainment on this channel. ;)

Nasty mite infestation going on atm. Hand killing the flowering girls bugs as they are budding up nice at 3 weeks so no sprays for them. Doing the major defoliation thing to reduce the # of leaves to inspect and see if it works as good as some claim.

Got to run down there in a bit so will get fresh pics.

Sorry to hear about the Borg. Clean procedures are essential. Gotta maintain a consistent regimen of pest control, twice a week to interrupt the life cycle.

Definitely want to see you win the battle against the bugs, I'm dealing with some miners right now that don't pose as big a threat as mites. Get those critters off your babies. Get some photos asap dude lets see the progress!

I had the bastards wiped out but later got some free Critical Mass cuttings of my buddy. Same buddy I got the first batch from with thrips too on older plants that were freezing in his greenhouse. It was one of the CM that I had in the veg room and moved to the flower room that got the ball rolling again. I had a few months of dark times and dropped the ball on maintenance for a while so now it's catchup time!

Got pics of all and as soon as I can crop and resize they'll be up tonight. Early AM really as it's almost 12 now. We're on mountain time here.

Fuck spider mites! The bane to our existence :D Those fuckers depressed me so bad once I was suicidal.
Depression is one of the main reasons I use cannabis and I think of eating my shotgun more than I should at times not before my mom passes and she'll be 91 this August and still going like the energizer bunny! :)

At this rate my boys will be spending my inheritance. :D Got 100G of it 16 years ago and bought this house and some toys with that so I'm not to concerned. Don't want my mom to have to put me in the ground as that would kill her for sure.

Getting outside in the hot sun after a long and bitter winter is perking me up pretty good.

Must of been some sick bastard who thought up spider mites. And mosquitoes which are now swarming me outside already and they are just getting started. Got a brand new Benadryl dabber to carry with me to stop the itch and swelling cold. Bites never used to bother me but in the last 10 years I've developed an allergy or something and get huge welts that itch so bad I start thinking shotgun. ;)

Those other, smaller mites that are spreading from the west coast of the states are supposed to be even worse. Can't recall the name but have read real horror stories about them.

On with the show!

I get really depressed in the winter, too. Weed makes a big difference for me. Glad to hear you're feeling better.

Busy in the forums tonight but gonna get this done dammit!

All plants got flipped on 4/20 so today midnight was day 21 of the start of flower I used one of these new Light EnerG 1000W Super HPS that are fairly high in blue light as well as red so seemed to help limit the stretch as none stretched more than 4" or so. Multiple tops helps with that too. Thursday I switched it out for my old, thought it was dead after 1-1/2 grows 15 years ago, SunMaster Warm Deluxe conversion bulb. Tempted to use the Hortilux 940w one as it's way more intense but it's a lot hotter too and today it was summer temps but the basement is still cool.

Stopped using the CO2 now that stretch is done and keeping the temps down to 75 max dropping to 65 at night. The 85F temp and 65% RH was good but also making conditions perfect for the damn borg. Now that buds are packing on some weight it's time to get the RH down to 40 or so. At the lower temp setting the exhaust fan is kicking on often so they get lots of fresh air.

First off the AK47 fems from seed. The smaller one, 'B' seems to be making buds faster and bigger. Both raised the same so got some different genotypes here.

Smaller one got mites from Patient Zero bad and she's been lollipopped and fairly harshly defoliated to make it easier to hunt them down and squish their sorry asses! Schwazzing or something it's called and not my usual MO. 44 and 37" tall from dirt to top.

AK47AtDay2111051801.jpg
After dark with the flash the smaller AK.

AK47Day21SmallPlant11051801.jpg
Next up are the Critical Mass. 29 and 26" Near identical clones from the same mother. Smaller one was put into the grow room about 2 weeks later than the larger one so got less veg time in the 4gal pot. Again the smaller one seems to be budding up better. Go figure eh.

Little one in the flash.

CriticalMassSmallDay2111051801.jpg
Bigger one. She got a touch of burn a while back and was closer to the light so has some permanently turned up leaf edges but is doing fine now.

CriticalMassBigDay2111051801.jpg

It's damn near 3:30 am and I was a busy boy outside today so will finish up tomorrow soonest. Cocobudder is kicking in good now and I hear my bed a-callin'.

Those four are the stars of the show as far as bud formation and way ahead of the two Blueberry and OG#18. The BB are from Crop King and I'm not impressed so far. Maybe they are late bloomers and will pull ahead in the final stretch but I don't think so. The male BB has re-vegged and I have the pollen collected and ready to dust a few buds on each of the girls. Hopefully he has the best genes of the three . . . but I don't think so. :D

I have depression pretty much all the time but can get really bad in the winter. Family issues and the appendix thing took a lot out of me this winter too.

As they say, Life's a bitch, then you die. What's not to look forward to eh. ;)

Spring always seems like an elixir, think I may have to move south one day just to break out of the winter dull drums earlier. I hope you get a handle on your depression long before your Mom passes and you stick around a long time for you, your family and your friends.

My thoughts are with you.

Thanks for your concern fellas but more important than my mental state what do you think of the girls so far?

I'm definitely feeling better tho pretty achy today after my burst of physical activity yesterday but that's to be expected after hibernating all winter.

That Critical Mass is frosting up pretty good already and I'm looking forward to to seeing what she's like when she's finished and smoking in a bowl. I have two of her sisters still in the veg room.

Will get the rest of the pics up later today. Just getting my caffeine and nicotine levels up to operating levels.
