Got 3' of 3" wide 1.5" thick aluminum at local welding shop for $30.

Just gotta get a 12000 press at princess Auto and I'll be golden

i was just told i would be better off with 20 ton....ps next press is gotta be a smaller size ...

the size is what took me so long to decide on getting one. A reg press takes up a 4' by 4' by 7' foot area
So I went with a custom made smaller bench size.
I find the 3 by 5 plates don't use even half the 20 tn jack..but I don't have a guage..just going by how hard I press it.
I used the pneumatics side of the bottle jack to see what it took to get full pressure. The same can easily be done with the crank. All too much pressure does is blow out bags and destroy parchment paper
So far anyway

go by percentages being squished.( want 20% by weight )....if you are getting results
