To battle bugs , I would use ceadar paneling on the floor and first 12 to 18 inches on 3 walls . the cedar fumes rise under the leaves of the plants where the bugs normally hide and kills them dead . I had bole weavls in my organic soil that the cedar got rid of . I found them lying on the floor . Just saying it might help with spider mites too ???Can you be envy on your own imagination? I guess, atleast, it helps me go on, and improve it step by step, as I can spent money and time, when I see something and get ideas.
Here is the newest improvement, my electronic area needs to get a clean-up! So I ordered a few Sonoff's, the first one arrived (4CH), so here is my new power board:
Rest will get finished in a same way, with different Sonoff's, so I can controll everything either via tablet, or remote key (for safty shut down).
The exhaust fan cab is completly filled with isolatation, just removed for mounting.
And it came different than expected. Though I seperated everything, cleaned up, did a new painting, and started fresh with new seeds and clones, I found some spider mites on the new seedlings. So I gave a sh*t now, used what I had, and started the experimental cab with some Tardis (2x), Sunshine Daydream (2 phenos), and Jillybean. 4 plants sit on the swick system, one is a hempy bucket filled with pure perlite, and a seperate airstone in the reservoir. Really driving growth... I like what I see from these hempies. Got a smaller second one. I give them the same low dose of nutes as my mothers, working fine.

To battle the spider mites I have used two weeks neemoil, now I am using two weeks canna cure, changing for another 2 weeks to some advised diy essential oil mix, followed by 2 more weeks of I-don't-know-yet. Got some diatomaceous earth to sprinkle everywhere. For the summer time I want to settle in predator mites, and foliar spraying for stronger leaves. If you have some advise, just let me her it. Would be so nice to get rid of them...
All these years and I've never heard of that.. I've had a bottle of cedar oil in the shower, I like to mix it with my conditioner and smell like the woods. lol. Thank you for using your time to post that. That's probably going to come in handy when springtime comes around. To battle bugs , I would use ceadar paneling on the floor and first 12 to 18 inches on 3 walls . the cedar fumes rise under the leaves of the plants where the bugs normally hide and kills them dead . I know that if you put cedar chips in or under your dogs bedding area , It will kill fleas . Same concept . Bugs do not like cedar . Thats why you never see cedar furniture have bugs in it .All these years and I've never heard of that.. I get a lot of ladybugs in the house every winter. Instead of killing them, I go around the house collecting them in a cup and release them in my grow room. There's always a few running around on the ladies keeping a sharp eye for a meal. Unfortunately some always find the grow light and get fried. I used to have the old style hps with the pane of glass over the hood, that claimed many o' ladybug. I have a cool tube now and they can't get in it.Sometimes, I would prefer ladybugs.. l
Good idea bro. What phase your plants in? Any pics?I get a lot of ladybugs in the house every winter. this is me when I smell the neighbor smoking weed. lol lol.. Time changes. That day is upcoming. Its just a matter of time. Cheer up broI have 2 white rhinos I just started flowering the other day, one is organic the other is dwc, both from seed. Then I have a white lavender, and a few clones from the rhinos in veg. Perhaps I'll post some flower pics here in a few weeks. Never felt very comfortable posting pics on here, I have friends that don't even know of my favorite hobby (I always laugh inside when they talk about how good it is when they smoke it..lol). As far as they know I know the guy that grows it, I even have this whole persona for the grower, who is actually just my cat. As far as the RIU community knows, I could just be full of shit and lying about everything.
But times are changing. I look forward to the day I can be open about my favorite pastime and not have to worry about prosecution. Hopefully that day is coming very soon!
@Randomblame May I ask you, what LED strips I could use in my greenhouse? Do I need waterproof strips, because of the humidity?
Is it a problem for the diods, or would it be enough to seal the connectors? What about spraying a clearcoat over the surface?Yeah, it's probably better, because condensation could form in the night hours.
The SunCloak strips have a plastic cover, but something similar is certainly hard to find. There are waterproof SMD5630 strips with plastic tubing, which could also be suitable for our strips. Ledil has also lenses for strips(Florence-1R-Z90) but I don't think they are waterproof. One could glue them and use some silicone to seal them as good as possible.
Nice to hear! Actually I don‘t have a link, I would have went into the next hardware store (Hornbach), they had a nice diversity of cans...Hmm! Splash water on the LES while the diodes are running will probably evaporate within a few seconds depenging on the diodes temperature. I can not imagine that this will cause defects with surface mounted diodes but a clear coating would at least give an additional security layer and can not hurt anyway.
If you have a link and it's not so expensive I consider to use it be myself.
Good idea, mate!
For the connectors I would also recommend to use some silicone as you said to make them waterproof.
I'm lmao at the thought of this. I just received my 3d cat stickers. Looks like a cat is tearing out of a wall. My wife was like what are these for.. I told her to add character to my grow cab and to give a face to what I tell people about "my dude".As far as they know I know the guy that grows it, I even have this whole persona for the grower, who is actually just my cat.

I just had to look it up, here you go: https://www.hornbach.de/shop/Farben/Lacke/Spruehlacke/Spruehlacke-Klarlack/S1398/artikelliste.html
Do I need any special silicone, or would the easiest one be enough. I am asking because I don‘t know about the temprature, neither if I have to take care because of the electricity?
lol Hell yea. The guy that grows my stuff is fat with grey hair, loves the outdoors, bugs, pissing on couches, and wet food.I'm lmao at the thought of this. I just received my 3d cat stickers.
