If you have a seedling mat to keep the roots warm it would help, and also help dry the pots out.
looking at yours it seems like mine are 1 week behind. I think the setup is good now though.Hey, sorry it's taken so long to get my pics I said I would have. Been a crazy week at work. But here are my babies. Beans were dropped in peat pellets on 10-24. I would be careful with letting your soil fall away from your roots. The browning you mentioned sounds like to wet soil could be the culprit. I would jet them just sit for a few days without doing ANYTHING to them. Let your pots get light before watering, but just not overly light. Hope all is well in your room.
I only added that much water because the soil was dry and it was the first watering after transplanting. it should be cool though right?1/2 gal water for seedlings is way overkill my friend. Lol I am in 1 gal pots and they get 1/2 a 20oz water bottle every 3-4 days or so. I water my girls in 5th and 7th week of flowering in 5 gal pots with a 1/2 gal at a time. Lol Thay are about 2' wide and 2' tall. Kandy Kush. I would wait about 3 days and lift the pots. See how they feel, then start with a water bottle. Water only around the drip line (outside your foliage). Those seedlings don't have crazy big root systems yet. Also, if you are using organic nutes, you never want runoff! That is only for salt based nutes. I am still new myself, but have learned a lot from my mistakes.
thanks for the reply. I got rid of the gnats with go-gnats, so far I haven't seen 1 in a couple of days. I will look into the moisture probe.Go get yourself a moisture probe. Those things are pretty legit when it comes to letting you know how moist the soil is. Just water when it hits red. You can even let it dip below with no problem. I actually try to keep it right in the sweet spot. Works well for me.
As far as the little flying bastards you can easily get rid of those using just fly strips and letting your pots dry out.
I suggest letting your pots dry out pretty well before watering them again. Let your root mass go nuts growing and trying to find water.
Oh yeah, as long as ypu let it dry out a bit. In the future, pre water the pot your going to be transplanting into. It kinda takes away from the shock in my experience.I only added that much water because the soil was dry and it was the first watering after transplanting. it should be cool though right?
