The Chinese won't be able to back North Korea, they are busy with India at the moment China is not much stronger than India we have too many nations on our side against North Korea and quite frankly we have no other choice. North Korea will not surrender nukes or ICBM's.

China is not backing North Korea anymore; they just cut off trade and joined with nations sanctioning them.
The Cold War has changed, the only ones who want it to continue are American defense industry stockholders to boost profits and Putin to boost his popularity.
China is no longer interested in being America's adversary, just our trading partner. The closest they come is 'geopolitical competitor' regarding natural resources and development in developing nations.

You need to pull your head out of the 1970s and realize that China gets nothing out of propping up a backward hermit country run by a nut job except headaches, refugees and security problems.
The Chinese are a deeply pragmatic people, which may be a big reason why American conservatives don't understand them.
