And I was on the river all day yesterday. Not here. I only log in when I am home and check and post when I have idle time. And I have a permanent illness so I spend a lot of time when I am home resting. And online.

Fox farm products are all garbage in general, i can tell when someone fires up a joint if it was grown with fox farm nutrients, I've also seen invert's in there soils.... I'd rather go dig near a bog for soil if i was using it.

The products are all fine if you know how to use them. I wish it were legal to send you a sample. Every strain I grow in it tastes very different.

Allow me to expand on my last statement , FF can bring cannabis happily to maturity, In that fact it's not garbage, Nothing against you or anybody else who uses and likes FF, and I would appreciate(sample) it but I do not ingest fox farm grown cannabis ,I can taste and smell it every time, even in brownies and shit i used to make with FF grown cannabis. It's always been this way with me.It just tastes like shit , overpowers the natural smells and tastes and ruins it for me, And usually after i point it out to someone and bust out something grown without FF . they can taste and smell it too

I'm done with smoking hydroponic weed grown by others. it always tastes like a morning golf course smells, like a fresh bag of
nitrogen lawn ferts. Its not the system I know because I've used several without the off flavor tastes and smells.

The soil has harbored mites and aphids before, Before I went hydro I used FF soil , for almost two years I didnt have an issue, then I did about 3 times in a row. Changed everything in the rooms, all new everything each time. I had a friend tell me he thought they were from the soil so I opened a bag of it in an empty spare room in a kiddie pool, Watered the hell out of it and set it on a heating vent and i saw bugs in the soil with my own eyes with in two weeks , My plants never got them cause I switched to a DWC for that grow and never looked back at a soil based growing system unless it's outside .

Yeah the over feeding did not help the tastes at all but when I did my first DWC I continued to use FF nutrients and they still had the same smells, even with me 1/5th ing the dosages. I found BC's technaflora and pretty much used them mainly ever since. No issues with any ph, toxicity or deficiency , And way better tastes and smell's. You experience's may (will) vary

Which Technaflora products do you like? I've used Pura Vida for years (among other things).

But I find it borderline to unreasonable to hear that you've gotten bags of the same soil for years and years from multiple locations and NEVER saw a bug. Maybe things are different in SE MI but i've never opened a bag of FF or RO and not seen bugs from 4 different stores. Either the places you're getting them from are quite lucky, or maybe you need a new magnifier. Fungus gnats at the very least at some point. I can see bugs being less prevalent in other places but if im seeing bugs in the bag (before it even comes to my grow space) for the last 2 years and you havent seen any at all, something is afoot. It almost sounds worth driving to BFE for.

I have seen gnats flying around palettes of soil at hydro stores. I wouldn't buy them. And as suspected the bags were dense and heavy feeling. They got wet at some point. Then they harbor bugs.

I use a zoom 40x hand held microscope to see. And have checked the plants and soil bin each time I saw a gnat. And hang sticky cards.

You can count the gnats I have seen in my room in the woods next to a lake and river way out in the country with 1 hand. And only one ever stuck to my yellow sticky cards.

And the gnats only appear when I have too many plants crowding.

Humid micro climates are formed and the bugs know and appear.

But I am proactive adjusting these things quickly.

I mean I've gone through some with no problems too. Then blam, it's got them...

See, FFsoils are harvested from the "wild", and at differing locations across the US. they change regularly too. It's simple to conclude that some locations maybe free of some bugs. Then they hit a section that is not.
Anyway, they then amend that harvested soil and package & ship..... They do not "sterilize" the soils at all....I wouldn't want them to either. You loose to much that way.

FF soil's have been notorious for FG for years. It's been in magazines multiple times too. Thing is, the FG aren't the worst thing to deal with. Once we (3 of us split a skid load) got root aphids and for the life of us. Could not understand "how"...... The wild grapes ended up being free of them. The grown grapes on my property were not infected. Where did this come from?

Went thought the soil in a partial bag (finally) and used a microscope to search for eggs or larva.....Bingo!
Neither I or friends have used it since...

Now you need to remember! This was 2-3 mining locations ago...... That problem is long gone and know plenty of others. Still on the FF soil bandwagon who have not had that problem.....

I simply choose to not deal with the possible problems of it's use.....Too damn easy to make your own, and the way you want.

Also to learn and give some advise from what I have learned from the last decade and half. Then I hear this was corn fields of buds in nj. I would make a million from those gen. Come on. You pick the one grower to trust that has no current pics or proof of him actually growing. And you wouldn't know unless you read his posts for a while but it is all someone else's info he seems to be repeating.

When someone claims a test or new info becomes available suddenly Dr who has already tested it and has known since the 70's.

And I only visited the places I mentioned and told what I saw. Many years ago when I was young.

I don't even like ocean forest. It's dense as hell and need perlite. But it is what is available near me that is inside, dry and clean.

Believe it not you can taste fox farm nutrients in product, It's not some big secret or anything. You may smoke cigarettes, drink liquor frequently or just have lame taste buds and or brains. I'm not knocking FF if it works for you , but I dont use it and if your at the bon fire and bust some out i would not smoke it, And believe me I can tell as soon as it's lit..... or dont and continue you're narrow mindedness into ignorance , that could be fun I suppose if that's your deal lol....

I just use the standard stuff, Tried pura vida and it's good but it clogged my emitters in my aero so went back to the standard stuff. I dont use the whole line, just the Grow, Bloom and Micro with cal mag and sugar daddy BB
