man, that's a sweet looking lake, is that your usual go-to place?

I wish it was my go-to lake! It's like 1 hour 45 min away (pulling a boat). It really is such a nice lake. Been trying to get up there as often as possible.
What I'm trying to setup for this summer is renting a cabin for a week. That would be bad-ass. Fishing for only one day there makes for one super long ride home.

BTW: Do the waders make me look fat?
Nah, not really.
But man, you gotta be sweating your balls off in them neoprene huh? I never fished in them before. Breathable wader guy here :-D

Salmon opener on my local river was yesterday. I didn't miss shit. Still way early. It might just end up being a really good year again here finally. Shit, there's sturgeon here this year. And Shad, and stripers. very seldom does that happen up here anymore. This year is kinda funky so far with all the water they let out and still are from lake oroville so they can fix the fuck up. Might make up for the drought we still had here 3 yrs ago. Fingers crossed

Catch a king right now, prob gonna be a nice and fresh springer though. Gotta get out soon .

But next thing you know, it might end up just a fucking trickle coming out when the fall run happens. Please NO god!!!!

It may be a few degrees colder where he is.. so they may be toasty warm.. lol
Oh I know. Lol. But still. I'd rather wear my sweats, and or jeans under my waders when cold. And boy oh boy can it get cold wadding out in the rivers here part of the year.
Breathable you can always dress up, neoprene, well. :-D

I'm sure that's the norm up there though. Plus, neoprene you can patch. Put a hook in your breathable waders and they're done

@GreatwhiteNorth

Do you fish the rivers too for them kings?
Do you guys floss for them, or a short leader with corky type of non-floss? :-D

Seriously though. I've heard stories about both up there. Just wondering how you do it yourself.

I'm a flossing machine when I'm stuck fishing on the bank. That or throwing spinners

I think you have talked about Shasta? Think that's what it's called. Anyway I seen on the news the other day where this party boat went up in flames while fueling up.. we don't get a lot of cali news here.. lol so that stood out.

No shit! I haven't even turned the tube on in a minute. Wouldn't doubt it though.

You from Lake Michigan area bro? My dad grew up just outside of Ann Arbor, right on a river there. He's got some really cool stories of the fishing around there.
