Fatigue is the excuse you used so you don't have to actually address the real issue of why Democrats can't raise money when the biggest joke in America is walking the halls of the white house and the GOP is destroying everything Democrats have worked for for decades. Nobody is giving them money because they scammed the American people. Now the American people can't trust them. There is no viable opposition party in America, just cowards who wear blue ties and accept corporate bribes, just a little less than Republicans...

The future does not look good for establishment Democrats

You would think the DNC would be breaking fundraising records seeing the state of the GOP and the Trump administration..

It looks like their gamble of courting corporations over constituents isn't working out so well for them..
 
Trump will likely be the unifying factor for the party at some point soon, but a lot of distrust is still there, rightfully so.

The only thing that will unify the establishment and progressive wings of the Democratic party is if the establishment wing chooses to stop accepting money from special interests. If they don't, the progressive wing is happy to purge establishment politicians from the party and elect politicians who will.

Special interests are corporations and superPACs. Establishment Democrats are slowly realizing the jig is up; they can't court both special interests and constituents anymore because constituents are realizing how politicians always represent big donors over little ones, case in point - universal healthcare, they can't choose only special interests because then they lose their voter base. The only option for success available is to abandon special interests and only accept direct contributions from individual donors by supporting a strong progressive message and actual progressive policy positions.

The only question in my mind is how many more elections will the Democratic leadership have to lose before they realize this?

So let's say the dems decide not to take money from corporations or superpacs while the repubs still do. You think dems can match them in fundraising?

I think they can exceed them in fundraising, all from small, individual donations, and absolutely destroy the GOP in every national election for the foreseeable future

That's what FDR did and that's why we have the 22nd amendment

Who donates to the DNC? I've never donated to the DNC. Only ever to candidates and to support initiatives by my congressmen. Who, by the way are clean, progressive, anti-right wing and popular with their constituents.

The DNC isn't directly chartered to raise funds for congressional races. You might not have noticed but we just had a presidential election during which the Democrats were very competitive both in popular support and fund raising.
