National Popular Vote Bill gets a little closer to realization

to be fair, they are only closing down offices in majority black counties after implementing voter ID. they want to make it clear that their intention is to take away the vote from black people, not white people.
It's worse than just monkeying with access. The implementation of the law relies on good faith of clerks to follow the law. Anecdotes from people -- white and black -- tell us they aren't implementing it fairly.
last time you dems waged war on a lrez this hard was abe Lincoln.

tell me about the cows more, because youre smart.
If, as right wingers claim the EC were truly written into the constitution to protect minority groups as @fdd2blk and @twostrokenut claim, why were so many groups deprived of the right to vote?

DMVs are designed to serve people with cars first and foremost, my fellow racist.

Not long ago (3 years ago), a terrible series of tornadoes knocked out power all over my area for several days. It was so bad that a lot of people scheduled vacations out of town until power was restored.

During that time, the police issued a curfew. Anyone caught driving on the roads after 10:00PM would be arrested, unless they could provide proof that they were either heading directly to or returning home from work. Which obviously required people to have a radio, and to listen to it, right?

Again, racist, those people in the places where the DMVs were closed had over 200 days per year to get registered to vote.

Face it. Those people who weren't registered were not interested in voting, and were probably too fucking stupid to form a rationale for their vote anyway.
why are you so scared of making it easy for black people to vote?

desperately clinging to the last remnants of white supremacy, tbone?

if your state was run by black politicians who shut down the DMVs in predominantly white areas of your state and then told you that you needed a DMV-issued ID to vote, you would be crying like a little bitch.

but when white legislators target black voters, you defend it.

profiles in fucking courage right here, folks.
do these idiots wait till election day to get a state id? i mean last i heard all people over 18 years of age had to carry id with them ? maybe thats just cops lying again?

Your shithole of a town was improved by that tornado. And how many were affected by the power outage? Maybe the honky-tonk. The rest of your post made no sense.

So, people have to go to the DMV several counties away in order to get the right to vote? If they don't it means they aren't interested in voting. That's what you said. A disabled person does this how? An elderly person in a nursing home does this how? A person who can't get time off from work does this how? How is it that only people with the means to go to a DMV half way across the state are interested in voting?

You realize that under this popular system you propose Lincoln would have LOST.

As usual, you're funny Fog.

200+ weekdays in a year, and people can't get registered to vote? Only if they're too fucking stupid to want to vote. Quit making excuses for the dumb and stupid.

There weren't any DMV offices back then. Under the current law nobody in 1860 could vote in some states. Is that what you are saying?

Are you already drunk?
You would have to add Breckenridge and douglas....both democrats.

Lincoln would have lost the popular vote.

ditch your shill shit and think about that.

I fail to see how the situation 150 years ago has a bearing on modern US politics. Is this where you tell me that the KKK was supported by Democrats a hundred years ago?

I completely understand why you refer to conditions in the distant past. The right wing is behaving deplorably today. Indefensible.

So, how about those 1916 Red Sox. Great team, huh?.

LOL

You have the imagination of a termite. And that's an insult to termites. Maybe I should find a termite and apologize to it.

Explain to me how this burden to travel and wait in line is a reasonable one for an elderly person living in a nursing home? People move and have to go through the whole ID at DMV thing when they do. Your 200 days is your own weak thinking. Explain to me what facts justify these burdens? Explain to me why the courts find these burdens unnecessary and racially biased in their effect on voters. Or explain why the courts are wrong.

Explain to me why your intestine hasn't reached up and cut off blood flow to your brain so it doesn't have to listen to your stupid arguments.
