Actually it working out pretty good, te accidental deaths have dropped partially cause when you get your permit, you are taught what to do etc etc. Knock on wood we haven't had a problem.
My personal feeling is all about teaching gun safety to children and adults as well. Small children from the age of 3 to 7 or 8, houldn't really see a gun and know whats its for, beyond that, you can start teach with an adult usually with a pellet gun and a bb gun, when you hit 13 then you get to know the real thing. For my kids, I've always told them before you use a gun always use your head first, this is the last resort and you can bring anything back if you make a mistake......we as parents if we decide to go shooting need to teach that to the younger generation and so on
