Salted or unsalted butter

So what do i use to make cannabudder? Salted or unsalted butter. i dont know its only my 2nd time making it but the first time it didnt separate from the water very good

i use unsalted, but i don't think it makes much of a difference either way.. i don't see why salt or lack of salt would effect the end product in any significant way.

Im decarbing my bud right now, what about a double broiler method like set a glass bowl with butter in boiling water will that work ? Or should i stick to simmering the butter in with water ?

double boiler will help, just make sure to keep the water under boiling temps, or it will get too hot and burn off the thc..
or, if you have a crock pot, those work great too, that's what i use making mine and works killer..

just keep the temps low enough so that the water doesn't boil should be enough.. bring it to a boil, then back the temp down some, enough to stop it from boiling and keep it there..

I decarb first at 240f and then boil the shit out of it...(not really but the water does boil) My butter is perfect and potent.

I decarbd at 225º f. for 30 mins now its on my make shift double broiler cooking at 190º f.

That will probably do ok. I feel that I get the best decarb at 240f for an hour, but it's pretty forgiving. I've forgotten about it and left it in for 2 hrs and it was still good.

Since you have already at least partially decarbed it, that should be plenty.

I'm guessing that unsalted is better because salt might degrade the THC.

I have a CP with a temperature probe, it has better heat control than my stove.

Well, back to the stove top. The CP will only get to 180°.
