So you're happy with the Chump? It'll be the 2036 election and these 'tards will still be mourning Bernie's landslide loss at the primaries.

Not at all.So you're happy with the Chump?
Sanders didn't win against determined efforts to scuttle his campaign through any means necessary. Not at all.
How does that hold any relevance to the conversation?
Read this and try absorb it before replying again:
Sanders couldn't even win amongst Democrats.
Whatever you tell yourself to sleep at night...Sanders didn't win against determined efforts to scuttle his campaign through any means necessary.
Think about the effect closed primaries had on his candidacy.
Actually I think he would have won in the general. So many of the Trump voters were more interested in "change" than they were the idea of President Cheetoh.Sanders couldn't win amongst Democrats and you expect Trump voters would buy what he's selling?
You certainly have a history with communism which to this day hurts the prospects of social reform. I suppose Noam Chomsky did a piece on it. I think people are manipulated into being fearful and selfish. I suppose he did a piece on that too. It's worth a read.I think if you really dig into it you will be less intrigued. People here might be progressive but the minute somebody slaps the label "socialism" on something they will recoil in horror. We are not very deep or thoughtful. Mostly we are fearful, selfish, sanctimonious and short sighted. We, as a people, are not very smart, not very educated and not very engaged in the world. So you can see, despite immigration, that the true nature of America pretty much stays the same from one generation to another.

I believe that if I take someone's problems seriously, then they too will hear me out. That's my experience. Sometimes I have to take to first step and put myself in a vulnerable position (e.g. admit to my 'opponent' just how little I actually know or that my motivations are actually opportunistic) but it makes room for trust and it makes room for working with the aspects of psyche that are not particularly bright or rational.
We are all naked so why pretend otherwise?
Nah they wanted someone to tear shit up; it was a protest that Trump took ownership of and now they're lapping his shit up (cucks).Actually I think he would have won in the general. So many of the Trump voters were more interested in "change" than they were the idea of President Cheetoh.
Go watch the West Virginia town hall meeting where Sanders get's an entire room of Trump voters to applaud his policy positionsNah they wanted someone to tear shit up; it was a protest that Trump took ownership of and now they're lapping his shit up (cucks).
Right, you keep believing that.Because polls are so accurate right? Trump won by the way.
We also have a large country and diverse population. This makes it easy to ignore the idea of community while still preaching about the "good old days" we learned about on tv. We feel disconnected from each other and therefore do not feel remotely responsible for people who are different from us. On top of that, we suffer from the myth of the "rugged, independent American" that is so in vogue with our young closeted homosexuals. You certainly have a history with communism which to this day hurts the prospects of social reform. Trump received 483,751 votes in the Republican primary in Michigan
They voted Trump, they're fickle and stupid and that's your point?Go watch the West Virginia town hall meeting where Sanders get's an entire room of Trump voters to applaud his policy positions
Establishment Democratic platitudes can't do that. It's clear what the winning strategy is, you can get behind it or continue to push corporatist candidates and continue to lose elections.
The loss of the majority of state legislatures, loss of a supermajority in the senate, loss of 69 congressmen in the house, 12 governors and now the presidency and the supreme court...
These policies clearly fail. Explain why you want to stick with them without bringing up Bernie Sanders.
Not every person is plain stupid for voting Trump, many of them are trying to hold him accountable to his dozens of contradicting campaign promises. I don't fully understand the optimism in a billionaire novice pollitician with no filter, but I understand why people like some of the thinge he says. Sanders could have possibly won, but I wouldn't say it was a sure thing. They voted Trump, they're fickle and stupid and that's your point?
SANDERS LOST, EVEN AMONGST DEMOCRATS.
Do you believe calling Trump voters "fickle and stupid", racist/sexist/xenophobic, etc. is a winning strategy moving forward for the Democratic party? They voted Trump, they're fickle and stupid and that's your point?
Right, he won 47% of the vote and 22 states in a rigged primary. You like to bring up the fact he lost, but never admit the fact that the primary was rigged against him. Claiming victory because you won a rigged election is about as legitimate as Charlie Zelenoff's boxing career and equally as impressive.SANDERS LOST, EVEN AMONGST DEMOCRATS.
If they didn't see this coming then they're simply stupid. Not every person is plain stupid for voting Trump, many of them are trying to hold him accountable to his dozens of contradicting campaign promises. I don't fully understand the optimism in a billionaire novice pollitician with no filter, but I understand why people like some of the thinge he says.
Exactly, he has populist rhetoric. Sanders actually has populist policy positions. That's why many people who voted for Trump would have voted for Sanders and why he undoubtedly would have won the general election. To deny that at this point is to deny the facts of reality. Not every person is plain stupid for voting Trump, many of them are trying to hold him accountable to his dozens of contradicting campaign promises.
