Fishing

was in Dick's the other day getting psyched about Spring fishing and saw this brand of lures for the first time (Savage Gear). If I was a LM bass, I'd eat it... @Singlemalt

I saw a Northern snatch a mouse one time in Minnesota; buddy and I were walking the shore line of a lake and spooked the mouse who jumped into the water.

Muskie, pike, bass... all the regular sport fish. Lots of lakes up here.

There's a little pond not too far away I like to take my daughter to and catch bullheads, they give her a good fight.

I miss that kind of fishing coming from N. IA. My brother (and I was there with a net) hooked a state record muskie in 72'. Held the top spot for years @ only 23 pounds. Now that lake is known for it's big muskies and I don't live there anymore. All we have here is trout and more trout. Ugh. I use to like going up to MN too. I miss it but wouldn't go back there to live due to the backwardness and shit.

I'm in WI so it ain't that bad, the lakes aren't as congested as MN. I'm about 2 hours south of Boulder Junction, "The Musky Capital of the World".

bass and bream are frisky at my pond. i went to cut grass , wet a line and smoke alot of reefer at the camp yesterday.

got 2 out the 3 out the way...will be going back in the morning to cut the grass.

Time off was so rare, that is my defense and I'm sticking to it. Anyway at Lake Havasu I was fishing and I caught a few of these. Being it was the dark ages and we were unenlightened, about catch and release, that thing was going to be eaten for dinner.

Until, the jet skiers showed up. They completely destroyed my fishing. My one time off in years!! You can understand my upset. So I used that great new water balloon slingshot, I had indulged in and hidden, to shoot the jetskiers with the fish I just caught.

The first was a ranging shot but the next two hit home. LOL, yeah I'm burning in hell.
