Dude, the phones and social media lit up by people on both sides objecting to the actions of the GOP congressmen to gut house ethics rules and remove independence from the ethics committee. It was an easy call for Trump to claim he "stopped it". Which he didn't really. Trump did not come out against it, he just said "later". They are going to take up the issue later when they have gotten people distracted by other issues.
It's exactly the kind of actions dictators initiate when they first take charge. He want's this, no doubt. He wants more time for propaganda to work against the "unfair" ethics "regulations" and whip up the weak minded right into a frenzy about how Congress "needs" less "regulators". I't my guess that there will be a "crisis" and this will be justified to the scaredy cat right by claiming congress needs less regulation so they can "get more done". That's the time he'll strike with this and much more.

Agree they CAN pass anything. If they go all in, they are going to be shown the door in two years. I agree with you in that the GOP wants to and can gut ethic rules that provide more transparency to what they are doing. Trying to rush this through was too obvious and generated much criticism from the left and right. Even Hitler didn't take full power right away after winning the German presidency, it took about a year.

So, I am aware that it's Trump time. This year and the next will be a difficult ones for progressives but also for a lot of people who voted for Trump only to see the GOP-controlled Washington sell them out. Recall that it was the fence-sitters in middle america who made the difference this election and will in the next. You just watch. There will be a crisis and the propaganda machine will rev up the simple minded right to demand this change and much more.

To be honest..old school got me more stoned..I had an occasion to try @RM3 Heidi's Unicorn..fucking awesome..I had some sort of pinched nerve and was in massive pain it hurt to move, breathe and it was amazing..colors so fluorescent..wish I had more.
