If you're looking to replace a 1000-1200w DE, the Amare Pro-9 would be your best bet. Comes with an in-line cooling option too.
It actually exceeds a Gavita DE. That would be the most efficient & effective led replacement for a DE Gavita. It's made specifically for commercial applications.
I'll read back to see what's going on here later. But check into it. I can pretty much guarantee you that's the best led DE replacement you'll find.

Read back. Seems nobody actually recommended anything. Check out the Pro-9. Plenty of documented grows, 5 yr Warrenty, good pricing & honest company who's owner is a grower too & built his lights specifically for MJ! Can't beat it!

There was actually a fair amount of discussion and i think the consensus was there is no "best" light without knowing budget etc.

i can think of dozens of leds that will top an hps at 75% of the wattage.

besides the best 'replacement' for a DE gavita is an ACDE+solistek ;)

@CobKits what led's are you aware of that top 75% of the wattage of HPS as per your previous post?, I also do not have a predefined budget as long as the light outperforms the HPS by considerable margin I am willing to buy it.

are you looking for a single fixture thats over 800W? cause thats a poor design for an LED. i meant 750-800W of LED produce more than 1000W of HPS

but where can anyone find a Pro 9 product page?

as to efficiency depends on what you are asking for specifically (or maybe they're both the same, I am high)...

least amount of electrical use for 1000w

example (I know lumens are for humans)

100w @ 150 l/w
150w @ 100 l/w

They're the same to the plant, no?

umols/w should be the example, but I'm too high to go there. Anybody?

the simplest HPS replacement is a 9-cob passive array on a 36" or 40" frame. ~ 700W- about $750 in parts, another ~$200 if you want it assembled and tested. no moving parts, no bulbs to replace, 30%+ electricalsavings not considering cooling load reduction

I would suggest supplementing(monos 630/660) with straight 5000k or half 3000k/5000k like the Nextlight recipe===== which has shown some great results here.

1000DE:
1000w x 1.7umol/j = 1700 PPF

3X T3-2100:
675w x 2.3umol/j = 1552 PPF with less reflective loss. $1590
Low stock intentionally but they can be put together quickly.

3x T4-2100:
900w x 2.3umol/j = 2070 PPF $1950

With some brands it's difficult to figure out what the umol/w is, or PPF or just PAR watts. Pretty important information for someone wanting to replace a 1000w DE.

$2,000 is absurd. What cobs are those?

You said most efficient and they're not! The bcblondes 16 cxb3590 would crush this in intensity and efficiency at same wattage.

Why do you always spout average
Lights as best when they're not best efficiency or anything really they're just average lights for an absurd price.

You could even do way better with chilled DIY and timber DIY. Or fluense or a handful of better options out there. That amate light only mildly covers a 5x5.

You have to be affiliated to this company there's no question now.

Shoot my DIY cost me 1200 and that's a good setup, next should be $850-800 and be more efficient. It's all about knowing, some peeps just don't get it and others try to exploit the ignorant.
