This snap crackle pop talk made me eat an oversized bowl of rice crispies ......never flush and I can turn over a cashed out bowl and the ash is nice light and falls right out ....smooth and delicious .....but I also got my dry cure game down which is where I think most of the taste and quality come from personally ....dry cure is where good weed is made great and decent weed is made good ......or great weed is made shit by doing it incorrectly ...watering with regular water towards the end is guna do more than flushing huge amounts through a plant .....
Right?

Love me some Rice Krispies..now you got me wanting some! oh , wait, I have a little mj budder left..you thinkin what I'm thinkin?? :D

@TomThe"Ripper" i feel differently...

Sorry in advance for this but I couldn't get the link to work.

Many growers these days, it seems, ignore the all-important stage of flushing their buds with pure water (no nutrients) for at least 1 week, preferably 2 weeks, before harvest. Proper flushing has numerous benefits, and results in superior quality bud (that is, if you're concerned about quality. If you're just trying to sell a bunch of crappy weed, then read no further). This is my conclusion, from over 20 years of experience growing marijuana.

Some of the benefits of properly flushed weed:

1. Taste/Smell. Pot that was flushed properly before harvest definitely has an improved taste and aroma to the smoke. Those who deny this are amateurs and hacks. The old conisseurs, like mysef, can tell quite a big difference.

The most oftenly overlooked method when flushers try to "skip" a flush is forgetting to watch the dry and cure speed which changes after harvesting a plant that hasn't been flushed.
I repeatedly told myself i could tell a difference when i used to flush during my more noobish grows, the problem was i kept overdrying my un-flushed harvest before curing which left me with a harsh bitter smoke from the cure stopping too soon.

Im no connoisseur but i sure have a backwards opinion over the author of your post and i started as a heavy flusher.

2. It burns better, and has an overall smoother smoke, and is not as harsh on the lungs. Unflushed bud will crackle when burned, and burns down to black. Properly flushed bud burns down to white ash.

I highly recommend this guy checks his dry/cure methods.. No way properly grown bud will burn black with a crackle not unless Its got burnt/seeded calyx's with a shit cure. Honestly, this seems to just confirm that he didn't start the cure properly.

3. It's much healthier. Smoking nitrate salts (deposits left from all the nutrients) is NOT healthy!
Hmmm, apparently flushing removes this?

4. It will save you money! Nutrient solutions are not free. Let the plant use up its nutrient reserves in the last two weeks, and just drink pure water with no ferts.
Think about this for a second, would savings come from tapering down the feedings or flushing it out near the end?
5. Many other benefits...
Such as?
Truth be told, if i bought weed id prefere unflushed grade A.

More growers should properly flush their crops. It would result in a lot better pot out in the marketplace. Tell all your friends and people who grow -- Please Flush your buds! Together, we can make a difference!!
