Everyone has issues to work through. You work at them despite what other people say and think, not let them run your life.

Im saving up to move. I've already moved twice since I've been down here. Both times it has been to a slightly larger city to see if the people were better. It seems like there are only 3 cities in this state where things aren't like this.

Yesterday you were whining that the church doesnt do community outreach.
You presented a laundry list of complaints that basically said the community didnt fall all over themselves to make you feel welcome and some commented upon your appearance.

I came into this community with an open mind and just looking to get along. When I lived in nYC I used to take out my neighbors trash and help them carry groceries. My girl would babysit on occasion. We're friendly but people mind their own business.
Here people know who I am and what I drive before I even meet them. It's wierd the way people keep tabs on other people here. Just looking different means people keep tabs on you. Even in khakis and a button down dress shirt it's the same.
Shit and here I thought potheads would have some sympathy for being ostracized.
I went to church to give it and the people a chance but when your sermons are all about Muslim hate and outsiders how is a new person supposed to feel? At least maybe the church with all this hate speech is doing some good in the community. Uh no.Where is all the good you say you do? Weekly jesus pageants and bbqs don't cut it bro.

If I'm coming at you with good vibes and a willingness to Help why come back with " well that ain't no blank county good old boy name is it"? Those were the first words out of my first NC employers mouth. The same guy whose son put the knife to his employees throat and called him a worthless thief. He was laughing and smiling the whole time like it was a joke.

I dont hang out with the religous people in my community and I dont expect anything from them.
You said you have moved 3 times and cant find anyplace YOU like. You want to dress and act differently and then demand acceptance. Why not move to somewhere where people dress, look and act like you? Otherwise, learn to adapt to your community. It isnt all about you.
