My first CXB 3590 run...

looking great brother...doing almost the same thing but a little different my next rum...i built the Cxb3590s with the 1400B drivers...made 4 double panels ..2 r 3000k and the other 2 r 3500k..aall the highest bins..just finished up my 3 diy far red flower initiators and waiting on the 4 heatsinks from heatsinkusa for the uv build..gonna put 36 watts UV on each sink and run them starting around week 4...really loving what u got going on PerroVerde...really helps having someone testing what u wanna do and willingly sharing...good shit brother...stay green my man...love the show,keep em coming bro..once i get rolling the next flower cycle ill share my grow with u and maybe we can help learn from each other....much love and respect:clap::peace::weed:

Thank you @dro-man80 ! I really appreciate your post and stopping in. What style of growing and what strains will you be running. I set up the 365nm last night and this morning the girls appeared to have a little better frosting and the tent had a deeper funk then the night before while watering. Maturing plants or UVA, I'm not sure but didn't seem like a bad thing. Every one that got a taste of the first harvest is a fan. They have no idea how it was grown or that I grew it but a few of the older guys commented on the taste and complexity of the high. The word was "wherever you got that, get more". The lady with MS that uses likes the hashberry and green kb for day time use and relief of symptoms and the purple kb for night-night lights out. Her husband can't believe how much it has helped her feel better, not stressing and get good solid sleep with relief of most all her symptoms. They both say this works 1000 better then any of the drugs prescribed form years prior... :)

IMAG1112.jpg Round two, 28 days later, 4 weeks in. I'm much more impressed this round, much fatter bud sites at this point. The 365nm UVA led star pontoons are up and running and the girls seem to be enjoying it. One full week of Size + on them now as well. Still at double strength with cal and mag, these girls eat up a ton under the COBs but keeping the EC around 1.2 - 1.4 and they really are growing well. A much more even canopy seems to be working well also but it's getting to be a jigsaw puzzle getting them in and out for watering already. The spring tails are loving the coco and every day watering also, I don't care for them but they don't seem to be doing any harm so we will see. Thank to all that stop in and check my little grow out... :)IMAG1116.jpg

hey bro good to hear from ya...ya i know those UVs are changing the game...buds will def have higher THC potency...its almost a no brainer and also another project for guys like us who love projects and complain a lil while doing them haha..
ill be running Breeders Boutiques Strains..kinda all i mess with..great genetics and great guys..i run rockwool cubes on slabs and Drain To Waste..Canna Substra Hard Water is my Base and i use different additives from different companies from there...i run a closed room ,CO2,14,000BTU Whynter Portable AC,4-600 Eye Hortilux air cooled hoods...Cant wait to put them in retirement haha..i have 3 more weeks of flowering ryt now then the new Cobs and all going in...i still have to make my UV lights but i have everything except the heatsinks which ill order soon...i see you comment on noticing tht ur strains require more feedings or higher feedings..can u share with me what u mean exactly..im taking it that under the cobs setup they just eat alot more then under HIDs..but figured id ask to be sure...ill make sure to sub and come check every day or other day to keep this rolling...im so looking foward to seeing the difference for myself with the Cobs..im using one of my Diy Lights for veg with the 3500K cobs and plants are eating more and loving it..and only running light at half dimming,,im in the same boat as ur previous grow,gonna be Pheno Hunting so throwing about 23 different strains in next trip to find my mistress haha..although i think i found them allready in veg,so we'll c...anyways,very nice talking with u PerroVerde..its a pleaure sharing information and real life experience with each other..wow the world has changed,how u can develop a respected friendship with ppl u never meet haha..life is good..stay green my friend,when i come home later i will post my lights i made to show ya what im working with...

Heatsinks for UV?! What kind of UVB leds are you using? Because the only effective ones are $100's. Just use PURE UV bulbs from Agromax sold by HTGSupply.

Thank you @dro-man80 ! Coming from 600 hps myself I find that the plants like a little lower ec but higher cal/mag. I'm running cal/mag + from gh organics because it has no N and a 5 to 1 ratio of cal to mag. Epsom salt is also added every watering as well. The plants will tell you in a day if they want or need something under the cobs and it's easier to see with the eye friendly light spectrum. I hope that helps some,

I'm sure you will find something special in that group you have going. 23 different strains is impressive, a flavor and effect for every occasion.

It's great getting to see others grow, sharing and learning things as a group. Making friends online and talking with like minded people is priceless.

As for the meds here, yes they are well loved. There is a 70 year old lady that gave a note to me thanking me and letting me know that it's the first time in a decade she has slept through the night without pain. She said now she can sleep her days are filled with things she could only hope to do before. To say the least it made my day big time... :)

I'm running 8 of the 365nm UVA from Steve's LED on a Mean Well LPC 35 700, two pontoons s with 4 each. I have run them from week 4 till now 12 hours a day out of the 13.5 hours of lights on...

Hm.
UVB is 290-320 nm though. You're only throwing UVA onto them. That's what I'm saying. For TRUE UVB I feel the PURE UVB lamps from Agromax are the only way to get it.

I never said I was getting UVB only UVA. I understand where to get UVB floros if I wanted them or if they even fit my application. I have grown with floor bulbs and used UVB floros years ago. A large section of what the floor UVB bulbs produce is actually UVA so it really doesn't hurt to have a UVA boost, we will see. Never really know if you don't break free from the pack every once and again and try something different. It's kind of what the whole DIY moment is all about, breaking free of group think and stepping outside the box... ;)

While I did find they made what I was growing slightly stronger they also cut yield measurably. Plus that was a while ago and the bulbs are done and I'm in a meter squared tent not a 4' X 4' area at the moment, so no 48" floro fixtures....

You could use them vertically in opposing corners. Bulbs are only $50 for 2 48".

So, i'm starting a similar setup in a 40"x40" footprint. I don't remember seeing info on ventilation, I see a fan blowing on heatsinks, are you using a scrubber, and venting out, (what size inline fan). I plan on running cool , (floor level) intake fan and running a 4" inline fan in line with carbon scrubber
