Would evaporative cooling, aka swamp coolers, be helpful in your area? They need low humidity to be effective. One day ill have ac. The wife keeps bitching about the heat, I don't mind it.
I've looked into it, not effective I don't think. Its quite humid where I am.Would evaporative cooling, aka swamp coolers, be helpful in your area? They need low humidity to be effective.
I used the type that most closely resembles the orange one.Hey @ttystikk which of the following buckets would be best for dwc? Having trouble finding a black bucket for some reason lol
The orange one comes with an orange lid.
I was thinking the blue bucket I could just tape aluminium tape to black out the white lid?
Both are 20l
Cheers! So is it just white buckets that create issues with the lights?I used the type that most closely resembles the orange one.
I see what you mean. I'm just going to go dwc first and then may go rdwc later.I used buckets with wide, strong lips so they would sit on tub lids. My netpot bucket lids are of the size that fits right on top.

Some will, tape or paint.I see what you mean. I'm just going to go dwc first and then may go rdwc later.
Would light come through those orange plastic pails I posted?
Sweet. I was just thinking of using aluminium tape. I figure it might also help bounce the light heat off themSome will, tape or paint.
That or mylar covered bubble insulation wrap, maybe. Notice the top of the tub is covered with foil covered foam board as well.Sweet. I was just thinking of using aluminium tape. I figure it might also help bounce the light heat off them

Cheers! I burned a couple of the wwxbb. Think I'm going to stop using Pk boosters hahaComing right along!

I'm looking forward to going dwc. Only thing that worries me is that as the plants are attached to the screen, changing nutes could be a pain. Might put drains on them.I use them very sparingly.
Every one of my tubs drains to a central control bucket, hence RDWC.I'm looking forward to going dwc. Only thing that worries me is that as the plants are attached to the screen, changing nutes could be a pain. Might put drains on them.
