Good old Billy Clinton told a group of nasty BLM protesters to sit down, shut up and listen yesterday in Philly, after they constantly interrupted his speech at a campaign rally for his wife, Hillary.
“I like protesters, but the ones who won’t let you answer are afraid of the truth,”
He then went further, pointing to a protester in the crowd, Clinton charged, “She don’t want to hear any of that. You know what else she don’t want to hear? Because of that bill, ( the Violent Crime Control Act of 1994) we had a 25-year low in crime, a 33-year low in the murder rate, and — listen to this — because of that and the background-check law, we had a 46-year low in the deaths of people by gun violence.” The Violent Crime Control Act has been condemned by the Afro American community as a major cause of the vast increase in the prison population (tough shit in my opinion) and has disproportionately affected men of color. (tough shit again).
It was good to see that responce to the hecklers in the room, because sometimes it appears to me that the BLM movement is a little too eager to blame the white man, for ALL the hardships affecting the black community. They of course have a valid argument, but MOST of the killings of young black men, are by other young black men. BLM has to work on that, and not just focus on a handful of instances where it is actually a white person (cop usually) shooting a black man. They can't always pull out that racist card.
