It seems so...LED's got a really long way to go still dude, I wouldn't waste more money investing in them until they offer more in terms of distance to light, footprint ,and cost to light an area. They are simply still in their infancy stages.
They are so in love with these lights they don't wanna open their eyes to the truth....it's kinda pathetic. It seems so...
But in my original post i had gyessed as much and so i asked IF the tech will ever get to a point where...
And i guess i annoyed some folks. Wasnt my intention...
if you looked at any of my previous posts on this thread you would have seen "white phosphor leds"And the whole magical spectrum from LED's is a fallacy, those blurple LEDs are SHIT!!!
I never said you use them...I am simply saying the whole magical spectrum is a gimmick that LED manufactures employ to sell lights, complete and utter salesmen garbage, worse than a used car salesmen. They literally lie right to your face.if you looked at any of my previous posts on this thread you would have seen "white phosphot leds"
NOT blurples. now stop trolling, you have argued the same thing in numerous threads in this forum and all with the same modus operandum, trolling.
for the cheap china blurples I agree 100%I never said you use them...I am simply saying the whole magical spectrum is a gimmick that LED manufactures employ to sell lights, complete and utter salesmen garbage, worse than a used car salesmen. They literally lie right to your face.
So do my blurple LED's. Gotta learn somehow right?spectrumking for me vegged great....but fell short on the flowering....
Sometimes it costs more than others I think the older we get the more we try to avoid learning at a high cost.unfortunately
The evidence for LED being the superior technology has been all over these boards for several years now, but you're right in that the information isn't organized. I will suggest that it would be difficult to find anyone here with a DIY lamp who has ever gotten less than 1 GPW. There are people using Vero version 1 at nominal current for several years now and have never gotten less than 1.2 GPW from multiple strains. That's what I would consider "old" tech today but still relevant. The really old stuff includes most of the red/blue lamps you see on ebay and amazon. Not that red/blue is necessarily as bad as it's painted sometimes. The reason these spectrums haven't been properly tested is that those manufacturers hide the part numbers so it's impossible to put them up against something equal in output. We don't know their output, but judging by the input wattage their efficiency and yield seems to be similar to CFL, which is bad considering much of the light from CFL is lost or reflected. This isn't necessarily a problem of spectrum, but of multiple companies using the utmost cheapest parts they can possibly source. The time is approaching where anyone can do comparative grows with white, pink and purple and we will then know how much effect spectrum tweaking plays on yield potential. But you can't really go wrong with a white light like CXB putting out 2.3 to 3 umole/J depending on how hard/soft they are driven. Watt for watt there is no light source that can compete with CXBs, but the point where LED was the better choice was reached several years ago.It seems so...

I just pulled down my first harvest under 3000w of COB LED.But still, nobody has posted a link to a grow (or even a claim) that shows LED producing the same yield as hps in the same conditions, even regardless of efficiency....
So i guess the answer is no...
1 company with few growers at least online, makes the WHOLE community a joke mmmkayI just keep bringing myself back to the spectrum KING, claims so absurd it just hurts my head to think about.....makes the whole LED community look like a huge joke.
Here you go,think the yields were pretty close but the quality on the LED side was better, even has lab tests."Massive amounts..."
Exactly. Who the fuck has the time to sift through all that info, which is in no way organized, to find an answer to a specific question?
And yet i did...for a long long while. Not only on this site. And when i couldnt find the answer i posted the question here....which nobody has answered still...
Instead ive been given a bunch of mathematical gibberish that claims better efficiency.
