Dog attack!

I can honestly say I wasnt sure what the reductio absurdum* meant so I looked it up, then looked back at the thread to see if I missed something.

I may be confused, but please show me where I was wrong or leave me out of it. Everyone here knows my position on this subject, and yes I am a VERY kind sir. ( ;
You were wrong in assuming Annie's post was seriously advocating poisoning a pet.

The priggery you displayed after embracing that assumption militates against your username being anything more than double-barreled irony.

The revelation that you believe everyone here knows your position (when you do not bother to pay enough attention to the regulars here and how they engage in repartee) highlights the fantastic self-center of your perspective. You are the exemplar of the new correctness, the prickly young narcissist. I know one when I see one, and I deplore this new breed of pushovers who disgust those of us who proudly survived the ministrations of a more Spartan pedagogic ethos.

Carry some bear spray, pepper spray..that dog will never approach you again.
When I was a kid, growing up in the santa cruz mountains, we would walk home from school with rocks in our pockets, and carry a stick. Couple dogs on the way home tryed to get us everyday. It was some fucked up shit.
One of those dogs was a pinscher. I don't trust any german breed to this day.

Like 11 years old lol. Could have went around but fuck that we where little bastards anyway.

I would never intentionally be rude to anyone and Im sorry the way I said it. Truly just love animals, its very difficult to decipher who is joking and who isnt (and a very sick joke at that) but I shouldve said it differently. I got very upset bc I always see animal cruelty "jokes".

My gf and I spend alot of time/$ on helping outdoor animals, and if you cant understand how one could get upset over that poison comment...then you have no grounds to say anything. Everyone is so quick to assume Im a narcissist, when you know nothing about me.
I wont bother you with anything else, I am sorry I caused an issue but atleast Im being real. Youre just sounding good.

Annie has posted these pics on this site previously. You could have done a cursory search if you were interested in who she is and what she does. You spoke in judgment without checking facts. How kind is that, Sir?

The pictures are beautiful, I do appreciate it. You came to a conclusion who I am in general, I came to the conclusion whether or not it was a joke.

I agree she must love animals god bless her, but and my gf and I would be right beside her. I reach out to people so they understand abuse is very wrong, and I bet curious would be right by my side.

But no one will even acknowledge that was a bad joke, and if thats only my opinion so be it. Youre putting way too much time/thought into this, Im sorry I said anything but I cant fight anymore. Take care.

It was not a joke. It was reductio ad absurdum as a way to abreact her frustration at people's inhumanity to animals.
Nobody will acknowledge that it was what you say it was, perhaps you were wrong and are now too invested in being right to review the facts without preapplying your bias. The thing about kindness, Sir, is that it gives the other party the benefit of the doubt at the very minimum.

I am a bit protective of Annie. She is very good at fighting and winning her own battles, but i saw this and got pissed.

As for needing the hammer, I made my case above. Feel free to go on ignoring it. It'll be mutual.

What part of "rescued" is the "got tired of the useless animal and cut it loose" part?
What part of "rescued" hinges on being able to train or use the animal?
Should it not be all about the needs of the animal and its family?
It seems to me that taking in a crow brings the attention of flockmates upon your head. You actually sound surprised.

If a young bird is not visibly injured, leave him for the parents. Keep cats at bay and you are doing a service then.
