Dog attack!

Lack of training has absolutely nothing to do with a dogs aggression for whatever reason it may be. My dog was a hunting dog, most obedient dog you'd ever meet. Still didn't stop him from put 18 stitches in my buddies neck when he flipped out that day.

These are animals we TRY to domesticate, doesn't always work as planned.

I can't promise you and you can ask @KLITE that I never have any problems with him. I never ask him twice to do anything and my dog walking friends ask me for help with training. I don't believe in those spike collars either. Training is about patience, consistency and rewards (from time to time).

I've mentioned that this dog is a neighbour. I've seen it misbehave since 6 mths and they won't tell it off. They have let it get away with it for 2 years and now the trouble starts.

When my dog was young and raided the bin, I'd use the plastic bottle then for example. Not a big deal.

It's all good, I can't bring myself to engage in conversation with you anymore. Tbh didn't even read what I quoted and won't, just saw the notification.

I think that if the guy had beaten his dog for what it did and tried to take responsibility I woukdnt have called the police.

The fact that he did nothing and again when it tried to attack me, left me with little choice.

Id rather be strict with my dog than risk Jim biting someone and getting put down due to my lack of responsibility.

Great that you took the time to respond.

Point is, it's known to be aggressive. If you trust animals which exhibit aggression around your kids, good for you.

But guess what son, my kids have all the right in the world to walk down the street, if they were to be attacked by a leashed dog none the less, you bet your ass your dog would be dead an your ass would be in court.

Get it yet?
My dog is aggressive and my kid will take food out of her mouth. You would not kill my dog unless you wanted to die cause my dog ain't doing shit unless you trespass which gives her every right to attack you plus the other 2 ain't gonna watch you kill my dog so probably just teach kids not to fuck around unknown dogs. Not to mention we are talking a 120lb bitch and 90lb boy and the little guy. I got guns too if you think you would be slick and shoot my dogs. Lol

But I don't let my bitch around other people's kids anyway cause she only loves her family.

If you changed your wording from "beating the dog" to maby training it would sound better. I cringe everytime I see you say beat the dog, when you dont mean beat. Probably causing emotions to flare up, when I truly doubt you mean beat.

Just a thought as I believe we spoke regarding animals prior, and we both agreed on the subject. I bet if we were all in a room instead of the internet, everyone would get along. Internet can cause unneccesary drama.

nobody is promoting abusing dogs, many of us love our dogs and couldn't entertain the thought of a dog suffering, we were talking about how to kill them with baseball bats humanely

Well, see that's a great point. My kids are smart enough not to enter other people's yards. If your dog is in the yard there wouldn't be a problem.

If they were walking down the street it would be a different story.

I never said I would shoot anything, not sure where you got that from, but you can bet your ass if my kids were attacked on the street by your dog I would be sure to use the proper channels to have your dog destroyed and then take you to court for any costs incurred. If your dog was leashed and you controlled it, well you can only imagine the case against you.

Trespassing is different than walking down a street.

Funny you went straight to guns and call me a little guy. Pussies need guns in fist fights lol.

Reductio ad KindSirDum, an exercise in diminishing returns.
I can honestly say I wasnt sure what the reductio absurdum* meant so I looked it up, then looked back at the thread to see if I missed something.

I may be confused, but please show me where I was wrong or leave me out of it. Everyone here knows my position on this subject, and yes I am a VERY kind sir. ( ;

I know right. They tried to say that my bf smelt of my pitbull and the two dogs don't get on. In which case why was the guy waiting right outside the shop for my bf? My dog was indoors with me. It's about 2 years old and they have the brother also in another house which is equally untrained. They are incapable of training their dogs. He didn't even hit it when it bit by bf.

I've got a 30kg blue pit which could end his dog but what then? I get into trouble for not having control.

The police out here are fantastic and the people have a great working relationship with them. They are intelligent and listen and are generally very good at their jobs. It's prob why the crime rate is so low. However there is zero tolerance for violence and my bf could've been nicked if he'd not kept control.

The only time you ever get away with beating someone up here is if you catch a thief on the street.

I feel glad that I kicked the dog when it didn't even get to bite me. I'd feel like a right pussy if it bit me and I'd done nothing.
I have an extensive history with not only "bully" breeds but also with pitbulls in particular.
The dog in no way shape or form mistook your bf for your pit. Dogs can smell MUCH better than that.. that dog knows how well your bf wiped that morning...
More likely, the dog is too protective of the owner, the owners body language, and mindset is what a LOT of the dogs mentality is predicated on.

Bottom line is this.
If that dog mauls a child or kills a child, will YOU be able to live with yourself for not making this more of an issue?
Sadly a dog that has shown to be aggressive to people, should probably be put down.
An isolated incident is one thing, but repeated patterns?

Actually the little guy was my 40lb dog and you said my dog would be dead in the post I quoted. I don't need a gun to fight just if you where going to kill my dog you would need a gun cause I don't care how bad you are you ain't killing them 3 dogs. Maybe with a sword too but not with your hands.bongsmilie
