You just demonstrated your own point that you can come up with a statistic to support or reject any issue. Good for you. I'm not trying to "win an argument" nor is suicide any part of what I'm saying or have said.

I'm just saying that gun owners are the only ones that can bring down the rates of gun deaths by accident in this country. Focus on cutting the accident rate with gun ownership. We are way out of line with other developed countries.
Why do you feel the need to continue to compare us with other countries? Gun deaths and crime have been going steadily down for a very long time. We are doing pretty well actually.

You seemed just to be focused on deaths by handguns when deaths for automobiles, prescription medicines and other causes kill far more people than handguns.

It seems to me you are obsessively focusing on a tool rather than address the reasons someone picks up a gun in the first place.

oh gawd, here we go again. Translation: "Cars kill people therefore people with guns don't have to keep them out of the hands of children."

I only read the first page, but think it was a poor decision to shoot. Yes he has the right to defend HIMSELF, but he put everyone in serious jeopardy trying to fight two armed men. In my opinion, it would have been smarter to shoot second in that scenario, because of all the crossfire.

http://www.surenews.com/crime/armed-men-try-and-rob-a-barbershop-however-they-werent-prepared-for-what-would-happen-next/

Barbershop gets robbed, two suspects, one with a handgun, the other with what looks like a shotgun. The guy with the handgun walks through the barbershop stealing everyone's money as the guy with the shotgun does a half-assed job of standing guard. Handgun guy gets to the front of the barbershop, then turns his back and one of the customers sitting in the chair pulls out his gun and shoots at handgun guy while shotgun guy still has the gun pointed at everyone. The clip ends shortly after that.

Not only did the guy shoot in the direction of other customers to try to hit handgun guy, he completely disregarded the other suspect pointing the shotgun at everyone, including a small child seen at the beginning of the clip. Had this situation gone any other way, everyone in that room could have easily been murdered over at best, a few hundred dollars.

Does what the customer did in this clip make any of you feel more or less safe in society?

Interesting to note, this is coming from a right-wing website, this is what they're promoting as smart, responsible gun use (read some of the comments)
It was actually two tards who almost got a bunch of people killed.

how are you and your wife enjoying all those socialized welfare redistribution payments i keep sending you guys every month?

i see your wife is very well fed, to the point of morbid obesity. do you think that is a wise thing to do when her health care costs are taken care of by young and healthy folks like my wife and i?

well, 9 out of the 10 deadliest states for gun violence are all deep red, rural, conservative states. so there's a lead for you to follow, shersock McPuppetholmes.
You just made that stat up. lmfao.... still though take out the inner city violence and watch that murder rate drop 70%. which is funny because most gun free legislation has only occurred in large cities.2014 Illinois had 685 homicides.(doesn;t say weapon involved) 2014 Chicago had 460 homicides. IL population 2014 12.88 million Chicago population 2.72 million. seems pretty safe in america if you're not in a gun control area. 225 people out of 10 million got murdered as opposed to 460 out of 2.72 million. lmfao So why don't you want rural people to have guns when they are obviously not the problem ?

who would of thought that California with all their magazine size restrictions and other firearm nonsense was the title holder for most violent state. For every 2 people those conservatives in Texas shoot Californian hippies shoot 3 people.

Last I checked Alaska was the most dangerous state, and California ranked #15. May want to check your facts.
