I did use the search tool. Didnt find much here or on the interweb, which is why i asked my question...Used them once. I pretty much did things the old fashioned way. Hung dried until I thought they would be just under 70. Jarred them and brought them down to just under 65 and threw in the Boveda 62s. Still burped and checked them daily until 62 was reached. Only burped occasionally after that.
May not have made the best use of them but they worked fine. Did not continue as I knew I could achieve the same results with only a little more diligence.
Use the search tool.
Wow. I give you complete rundown of how I successfully used the product you question and then knowing this has come up dozens of times and that my response may have been first here but not necessarily the best, I suggest the search tool. And for that I am a dick? Wow again. Here, let me rephrase...I did use the search tool. Didnt find much here or on the interweb, which is why i asked my question...
No need to be a dick.
Thats what i dont understand. You answered my post. You didnt have too. I appreciate that. Then you ended with "use the search tool." Thats the dick part.Wow. "Ever heard of a search tool you lazy-ass waster of bandwidth and other peoples time. Its been written about in dozens of posts here with succinct examples. Dumbass, entitled loser".
How's that?
I suppose a person could dry completely and use these to rehydrate, but....Dry the shit completely them throw it in jars with a boveda pack or two. Burping is not necessary and it will hold your jars at 62.
If you smoke everything up within a couple weeks you don't really need them but I wouldn't even think of a longer term storage without a boveda pack or two.
Lol Not rehydrate but you don't wanna half ass your dry just cuz u have boveda packs.I suppose a person could dry completely and use these to rehydrate, but....
...anything that is rehydrated seems to lack its original vigour no?
You have it all twisted around the axle. Actually, you deserved it. My iniitial suggestion was sincere, but sure, I did assume you did not search. Why, did I assume that? Because I have witnessed numerous threads here on exactly that. So now I do a search looking for only Boveda in titles and I find 47 different threads. Doh! So it is you, Richard, who needs to learn to "save comments" especially when just a "thanks" was more deserved. You're welcome.Thats what i dont understand. You answered my post. You didnt have too. Obviously you assumed that i didnt. Wrong. And your reply was obviously less about helping me out then it was to admonish... otherwise why bother replying at all?
Maybe if i was new here, but been here for 3 years with 1500 posts. Save comments like that for those that deserve it.
Not at all. Just misunderstood you...Lol Not rehydrate but you don't wanna half ass your dry just cuz u have boveda packs.
Cut trim dry for 4 - 7 days then throw in jars with boveda. Seriously it's that easy.. You seem to be over thinking this

I use them religiously for cigar storage. They are very reliable, and come in many different humidity levels. If you are keeping your product in a sealed container like a masons jar, zip lock, or Rubbermaid container, they last a long time. If they are in a wood box (like a humidor) they will not last nearly as long, but will do the job just as well. How long they last in non-air tight containers depends on ambient humidity, and the size of container. So to be more clear with my original question...
I am not asking for curing info and i am not asking how to use this product. I am simply asking who is using this product and what do you think of it?
