Looking to buy marshydro LEDs ?help

Hell I'd might go so far as to even bet that you can supplement a 1200W mars 2 (490 bucks) with a 600W HID (200 bucks) and get somewhat close to the results you would get with one of the XML650 CXB/CREE boards for $1500.

Where your data from? Check you data at yourself or did you believe all what a saleman told you or write on his homepage? Nice you add a HID lamp. The people which need use of LED would never add a HID, because of heat problems. And if you a good grower a 600W HID will be more as enough, so they do not need extra light in my opinion. Who told you, Platinum is better Spectrum? Show me graph of perfect Spectrum. I believe, nobody know, which is the "perfect" spectrum. You only talk shit. Sorry man.
 
I really don't care what beef the two companies have, especially learning after I had already bought it...
if he ripped him off, then he should have sued and won. were there any patents? the lights from the two companies look different to me. and it performs.

I think you can google up the 3500K spectrum and compare it to the meter in the video as well.

not trying to be a dick, but its more cost effective. and there is a CLEAR difference between just a 600W grow and a 1000W grow, even more so a 1000W supplemental LED HID grow.

No I was talking about overpaying for the CREE or CXB, because my p600 will outperform that light that was mentioned, and in fact it is less expensive.

Oh and 2 more years on the warranty
 
This is reminding me of the SpectrumKing thread. If I recall correctly, he made big claims about diodes outperforming COBs. Some hocus pocus PAR readings. In his case, he claimed Cree XBDs diodes outperformed cobs. You're claiming epi-whatever diodes do.

This should prove interesting.

Has anyone independently confirmed those PAR readings?

Based on the BS which permeates the LED market (HydroGrowLED claiming to use Osrams when they don't, California Lightworks's "adjusted PAR", and SpectrumKing calling COBs a "myth"), and Platinum's demonstrated willingness to hijack a reputable company's reputation.... it seems reasonable to be suspicious of epi-whatever diodes outperforming COBs.

That doesn't necessarily prove epi-whatever diodes outperform COB. Not to be insensitive, but it sounds like the special olympics. Sketchy, name-ripoff Platinum won. You have a lot to be proud of. :roll:

I'm having trouble following the point. If buying light for the lowest dollars is the priority, why not buy two HIDs instead of spending $2 per watt on Name-Ripoff Platinum? I mean, if Name-Ripoff Platinum is a better value than HID, why not buy a second one of those? If you wouldn't, why buy the first? (Maybe I'm missing something crucial.).

One thing I keep thinking about is late 2014 when industry news reported China's government required the LED industry to clean up its act in 2015. Maybe something's actually happening. For example, something seems strange to me about Mars Hydro dumping the old version through eBay at very close to cost.

(That might also play a role in the Special Olympics runoff you mentioned. Was it the Mars model the old model, which is being dumped on eBay now?).

Eventually epi-whatever lights will produce more light than T5HO and CMH. Just like Cree and the other leaders in the industry develop more efficient technology, Epiled/star moves forward too. It's inevitable that that that class of LED will surpass T5HO/CMH.

Maybe that's happening now, and related to that industry news a year ago(?). That would be good if that's happening.
 
I'm doing this run with HID, my next one will have 2. I couldn't afford buying both. my 600W im getting has a dimable ballast so I can use it as a veg light and go perpetual.

I have "full spectrum" epishit and 3500ºk and 600hps...it will be only cxb 3590 soon...if some are blind I am not and I feel more comfortable with the cob...why more and more growers use it...because they love to spend more money in shitty lights?

P600...lol...we have the same company in France...it is call Bionicled and they have exactly the same shitty panels...and they said the same shit about...but you know what!?...they add a cob to their newest panel...so a blurple cob and a 3500ºk...lol...
Why don't you just diy it...it will be cheaper and more efficient...if you know how to drill hole in aluminum, apply thermal paste and connect a few wire you can do it (it was the first time I build something...I am hairdresser!)
With cxb you could pull 3 time more weight!

Have a look on their Homepage, if you can read, they wrote 1535. So in test it was 30% less. And maybe in video is not 18 inch! They tell you something and you believe it all. People like you, makes people like PlatinumLed rich! Wait I am looking for the right emoticon. Arrrr here is it:wall:
 
Had lumigrow and ever grow. Had an original 357mag led. All were unimpressive and did not outdo or even keep up with hps. Had 250 and 400 hps. Had the best bulbs. Had cmh retrofit. These worked but really are almost as good at heating as lighting!
Have a51 rw75, sgs, xgs, and optic vero18 120w. I represent no one nor does anyone pay me. These lights have been running up to 2 years with zero diodes out or any other trouble. Results are beyond what hps can do. Sorry. Top notch LEDs will do better than hps at 25% to about 40% less power.

Pay attention to the smart folks here and you will be well served. Best place I have found to learn about LEDs and reap the benefits.

I do see that , but I'm going off the test in the video. shady shady. lol
And I have a yard stick in my hand that's 18 inches.
