Right now in the process of making my grow room. I plan to have 2 3x3 flood trays in seperate areas, both for flower. Both with 600-750 watts of LED lighting each.
Then in another area a 2x4 flood tray to keep several moms and I'm hoping clones with 2 2' 4 bulb t5 fixtures.
However, this is a small tray for the both of them so thinking of using it only for 2-4 mother plants.
Each 3x3 flower tray should be able to hold around 15 clones that have been vegged since the clone was taken for 3 weeks before switching to flower. This is including rooting time. And this will allow me to keep up with the perpetual if I can make another area for clones.
---First off----
Do you think this is too many clones for a 3x3 tray? Trying to do a perpetual grow, alternating between the two flowering areas harvesting each month and trying to get the most yield out of each. What would you do if these were your goals?
Secondly---
what is a simple method for taking roughly 25 clones at a time? Would you build a small tent for this? What would be the simplest, easiest to maintain and run system to water these clones so they aren't needing babysitting every day all day. I have a bunch of 2" net pots and round plugs to hold the clones up..
Id love to be able to fit this in the same room as the other 3 grow areas but it's cramped as it is.
I plan to use hydroton in 5" or 8" net pots once the clones have fully rooted in their root plugs. Once they go into the flower area there will be a layer of coco mat added to the bottom of the tray for extra root room and to help anchor them.
The whole idea is to be as simple and easy to keep up as possible, get the most yield, and keep a constant run going for a perpetual harvest. Want to do it as efficiently as possible. My goal is to crop out 1/4 - 1/2 lb of 8 week strain bud each month. Being modest so I don't disappoint myself. Never have done packed trays of clones before.
Was thinking of doing different methods in each flower area but I'll need to make it all time the same to keep the perpetual sceduale going correctly. Thanks for reading all
