At the same time doing nothing will allow ISIS to expand. If you want my opinion, Obama should let Russia and France coordinate the air strikes. Russia is working with Assad. Assad knows what is happening in Syria and where.

In short, Russia has more valuable allies in defeating ISIS.

The US are directly responsible as they're the ones arming them, why would they then proceed to drop bombs accurately on them?

Would you drop bombs on a loyal and rich customer?

No, If I were a Muslim in the white house, I would do exactly what Obama is doing.
Beef up the jayvee team, arm them to take out Assad, and then bomb the shit out of any civilians who get in the way.

The victims of Nagasaki and Hiroshima were not "collateral damage". Unfortunately, they were the intended targets.

As far as the term "collateral damage", it could also be called legal murder. Which does nothing for my confidence in the legalities / illegalities of war.


I think one thing I'd look into is which events have caused the upheaval in the Mid East and does this destabilization have any benefits to the people that caused and perpetuate the upheaval. Follow the money.
