they were set to close one dozen tomorrow however, the ruling supercedes this..papers have been filed today to overrule this judgement.

mississippi has one left now.

actually, mississippi is very relevant to this discussion, as the same tactics they used to rid their state of abortion clinics are now being used in texas.

and south dakota.

and ohio.

and kansas.

and north carolina.

and so many other places.

that you wish to ignore this hypocritical reality of republicans discovering their love for truly unnecessary regulations is not surprising.

past is prologue, and if the history can teach us anything on this issue it is that the GOP will take every dirty, backdoor method they can to make access to abortion as difficult as possible.

abortions are not mainstay business and are just one of the many, many tools used in family planning..clinics are not "set-up for abortions"..a misnomer (gee, i hope i spelled it correctly).

By the way, could you point me to the part of the US constitution that mentions abortion, or pregnancy?

no, it is the right that only has two amendments (the second and the tenth).

no right is absolute. fighting words are not protected, nor is yelling 'fire' in a crowded theater. the right to bear arms may be tempered with background checks and limits on retarded people being unable to own guns.

and abortion is certainly limited, they even named the week up to which one may be performed.

Not being on "the right" I won't answer definitively for them, but I would be extremely surprised to hear any "righty" advocate ignoring any part of the constitution.

I have many righty friends, and a few lefty friends. I have never heard a righty suggest ignoring any part of the constitution. I have heard countless lefties on RIU, you included, proclaim the constitution as the product of a bunch of old, racist white men, implying that it has no value.

I am really struggling with this "abortion is a constitutionally protected right" thing. Buck, you have obviously overlooked my repeated pleas for you to direct me to the part of the constitution that guarantees a right to perform an abortion?
