Get a reg 9-5, or a part time, just so you can show some income and do shit on the side and keep fucking the IRS. I just set up a 200gal air tank and sandblast cabinet..gonna try and get some side work off Craigslist sandblasting. I'm working on a 20x30 enclosure so i can do frames, large body panel etc.

I've survived the last couple years doing odd jobs and car repairs and selling used parts, not making a fortune, but my bills are paid, i got food on the table and i answer to no-one..all i really want. With winter here I've been thinking about picking up a part time to kill time. Can't do to much car work when there fucking snow everywhere...Fuck winter:finger:.

IDK about down there but a CNC operator makes mid upper teens to start around here and usually you don't do much..change a tool or adjust an offset. If you can program and setup your easily in the mid 20's. I did it for the last 15 yrs..made real good cake. Not sure i want to do it anymore, the chems were staring to really effect my skin.

been doing this all my life, not hard at all
ok, i purchase used cars and always pay cash, but
what about when you want a bank loan to purchase a 250k+ house, then what? Land contract? I wld hate having to borrow someone's credit card just to order anything online, I wld feel like a mooch. Plus, credit can save your ass in an emergency, if you don't have the funds readily available.

If you're self employed, filing i.t. is a lot less of a hassle than you'd think @ODanksta. I don't dig the system, but the alternative leaves me w less options and freedom imo. it's not that hard to have these options, just a slight paradigm shift but i'd still respect anyone's informed choice and decision..

Also, you're required to eventually start filing i.t. to receive social security benefits, the (small) check and health insurance, when you qualify. my friend did it when he was of age and he didn't even get red flagged for never filing in the past. health insurance is finally affordable to most ppl, i wldnt let that pass me by as I've seen ppl without it become bankrupt from a hospital visit. :peace:

you didn't answer how to purchase an average priced home, danksta is a young guy, he may want one eventually. i stated that credit was for an emergency. i'm not saying you guys are fucking up, but i'm not saying you're not. I hear you about the prepaid credit cards, but that's about it.

when you go to apply for social security, have fun shifting your thinking when you realize that a tax form is required. no health insurance... bummer, it's finally affordable! love it when ppl assume they're invincible or the luckiest to ever move about. often someone's intellect exceeds their logic, perhaps this has occurred to justify rubbish, perhaps not. you sound like you have it all figured out.

my cat needed a 3500 surgery immediately over a weekend so I couldn't get to the bank, through it on amex. there r other emergencies that arrive completely unexpected. I'm not trying to hassle you, I sense you're older than danksta and have learned to make it all work. I think ppl tend to have more freedom and options playing-ball with the govt some. personally i wldnt mind being off the grid completely, but it's more of a dream because I like perceived security.

In the right market yeah, but flipping is def not the thing it was there for a while.

I'm more of a long term flipper, if you will, nowadays. :-D
The last 5 yrs, it's only been two houses. I buy house. I grow lots of buds, while I SLOWLY remodel. I then add on square footage, and then sell. I did that with my last house. This one i'm in rite now is just waiting for the addition.
Owner financed... it's easier then some might believe

So I am still fucking around with restaurants at 30, I make pretty good money like between 15 to 20 a hour, I don't pay taxes like most do because I don't claim all my tips.. FUCK YOU IRS!!!

But I am damn good bartender/server and people like me, I really don't know why but as long as they give me cash I don't care..

However I am getting older and possibly looking for something better. Now I can grow some fire ass dank all day which pays great and all, but this industry is getting over saturated. I use to get 350 a ounce and now I am down to 235, the quality has got better but the price keeps going down.. But at this point of my life I consider it as a profitable hobby..

So my work history is.. start to finish.. First job was at ACE hardware, then braums as a cook, boston market as a cook, then highway construction started as a laborer and worked my way up to a heavy equipment operator then foreman at 18, lol.. then I sold hard drugs, got clean then started serving and bartending, then started growing pot, then had some shitty warehouse jobs, then I worked at machine shop, then a metal fab shop, then back to heavy equipment operator, then as a rigger in the oil field, then back to selling weed, then back to server/bartender worked my way to a bar manager at two different places, then a GM at a hydroshop, then went to growing pot on a larger scale while remodeling houses, now I am back to server/bartender.

I got good people skills and can sell anything.

I went to college for about a year for CAD when I was 22 but hated it, well my college kinda fucked me over..

But I can build anything, I just have a good understanding of how shit works..

I am thinking about going back to school for something, I just can't pinpoint what exactly I want to do, so I am here asking for some advice..

I hate working 70+ hours a week though..

when I worked in the oil field the safety guys Osha cert made great money..

Petroleum engineers in the oil field made 200k to 500k and it's only 2 years if I am not mistaken..

Crane operators made like 120K

idk..

I hear that a degree in construction is one of the best careers at the moment..

Maybe even a CNC programmer??

well anyways any suggestions??

And no dick sucking comments plz ;)

I honestly think if if you took an electronics class and learned how to build led grow lights you could make 100k a year without workin your dick off... I'm thinkin bout it myself. Plus a side hustle on the green could be just gravy. LEDs are clearly the future and you can get wholesale prices on parts in bulk, hire a 10$ an hour kid as a helper.

You seem like a people person. That's pretty much all you need. The company you join teaches the rest.

PM me if you have any questions.

That is one expensive pussy...

4 dogs ago.. Dozer, some might remember him from my old user name, got hit by a car going 80 mph... He got crushed, I dragged him off the highway and shot in head twice with a .45, because it was the morally right decision.
fuck dude. had to be done. I've had plenty of loss in my life too, now I'm hyper-vigilant in protecting my pussies.

No shit.

That is why I said chickens. 5 bucks a dozen for eggs. I sell grown chickens that are laying for ten bucks. Baby chicks for 5 bucks. I will even kill, clean and sell whole chickens.

I don't have to pay for eggs and chicken meat.

The money adds up fast. Easy 50-60 bucks a day. No effort once set up.

I also work on cars and do home repairs and remodels on the side.
