Good jobs for mechanically inclined males?

I can weld, if needed, but it's always buttass ugly.

I don't have any significant insights to the trade, others would be better for advice. What I do know is when I bought my boat 5yrs ago (2004 Grady-White 306 Bimini w/dual 225 Yamaha), the damn thing looked mint. The guy selling it paid cash for it but never had the time to use it (90 hours on motors). I on the other hand had to get a bank loan for it.

That guy was a welder.

depending what good money is to you..

as far as short term. its real easy to learn to do cnc type work, rebuild engines tranny etc. getting hired on migjt take more time. but people are always looking to pay top dollar to make their toys go faster and be able to handle the power... same with custom interior work ie fiberglass a new dash to their design or slam trucks etc etc

diesel mechanics do alright, the people working on cats and what not do pretty good.

its the getting hired with little experience thats the hard part

since you already grow, i would do that and expand. i make more money selling weed at $50 an oz than i do designing new drugs and that took a doctorate..

Can you elaborate, I'm missing what you're throwing down, perhaps others are too.
It's a reference to the Greek philosopher Socrates. He made his living as a philosopher... and in fact was condemned to death as a consequence of his philosophical musings. Rather than be put to the sword, he ate deadly hemlock instead.

ok hemlock is the philosophical member.. I thought it was a reference to the downside of welding. Weld away!
Come on guys, you learn this kind of stuff in college! OTOH, I still haven't figured out how to get a job with it...

I would advise you to go back to school and keep your hobby going. If you can make a living off your hobby, I would go back to school. It is never too late to acquire knowledge.
My daughter just got a better paying job that works around her schooling in Santa Barbara. She now delivers medical marijuana for a club down there.
I honestly don't know if i'm supposed to be proud, or pissed:confused:

Seriously, it's a good job until she gets robbed. It happened to our driver delivering fucking Chinese food, so I'm wondering how safe is it?

well from a woman's perspective & from your credentials with hands on & technical understanding I would say & that is if you got some capital to work with to take a look at some of our LED wizards here on RIU & make COB lighting of quality parts & sell on ebay. Custom orders or do a line of say anywhere from 200-600 true watt cobs. Its legit & in high demand...hmm might try it myself..giggles:peace:
