What do you think is an appropriate raise for someone working minimum wage?

I dont have any employees. The people that work for my company do not work for minimum wage. The inspectors are on commission. I dont know what the secretary makes but I am sure it is more than 7 bucks an hour.

What other companies pay their employees is their business and whoever decides to work for them.

False. Privately owned economic infrastructure (capitalism) makes laborers into serfs.

I know you want it that way, but I think they deserve a raise.
What does Community owned economic infrastructure (communism) make laborers into?
What does Government owned economic infrastructure (marxism) make laborers into?

What other economic model puts control of resources into the hands of the individual?

What country has a better economic model?

lol so retarded

Communism means classless and stateless society and Marxism means worker owned economic infrastructure. Neither of those has ever been attempted.

it's like a perfect microcosm of the right wing mindset: too scientifically illiterate to understand that contribution won't amount to anything, yet still willing to hurt himself financially to achieve it.

$7.25 an hour

1 year of work, no sick days. I work 1 year at minimum wage without calling out once, receiving 0 customer complaints, totally ideal minimum wage worker in every respect.. How much do you think, MAXIMUM, should I be compensated for, if at all? Why?
You mentioned in another post "minimum effort for minimum wage".
With that attitude I would let you keep your job but no raise.
You reap what you sow.

How much?
1/2 of the surplus from their productivity.
Example: if someone is earning $7.25 but pushing $10/hr in output net of costs, giving them a $1.40 raise would be about right.
But it becomes a numbers and information game...

All economics is trickle down.

Where does the money/loans/funding/paychecks come from?

It isnt called flood down and make you damn rich economics :P
So the Walton family became billionaires from all that wealth trickling down from other billionaires? It didn't come from the masses of poor and middle class people who spend their money at walmart?

Yes, and the Czars sure made sure that the wealth trickled down under Communism.
Someone was napping through history class.

Boeing pays like $27.00/hr, so irrelevant to your claim.
Not irrelevant at all. Try and keep up here. The statement was made that the government doesn't subsidize these companies, they subsidize the employees. I merely pointed out the fact that Boeing received over $13 billion from the government. In order for my claim to be rendered irrelevant, all of that money would have to go to the employees, but we know better than that don't we?

Following is the premise under discussion:

It's common sense that any worker working full time (40 hours a week) in America should be paid a living wage, regardless of the skill or education level the job requires, age, gender, sexual orientation, skin color, etc.

Taxpayers are subsidizing businesses that don't pay their employees a living wage when they utilize social safety net programs

If the job isn't important enough to pay the worker a living wage, it's not important enough to exist
Note in particular the following
Taxpayers are subsidizing businesses that don't pay their employees a living wage when they utilize social safety net programs
[/QUOTE]
Any subsidy Boeing receives has nothing to do with "Taxpayers are subsidizing businesses that don't pay their employees a living wage when they utilize social safety net programs"
So, yeah, irreverent. Seems you are unable to keep up, or possibly think interjecting your chicken head.nonsequiturs is somehow relevant.
