Trump the “political figure” and presidential candidate doesn’t exist today if the tea party didn’t make bigotry within the GOP acceptable to display publicly and Fox News didn’t give him a forum on which to spew his ignorance.
Just think about this for a moment: Trump is a birther - and leading the GOP presidential field. And as we all know, the whole birther nonsense is basically just an accepted form of racism with the Republican party and conservative voters. It’s a way they can say “we don’t recognize/want a black president” without saying that specifically. But make no mistake, that’s exactly what they mean.
When you look at what Trump’s doing, he’s nothing more than a right-wing blog personified. He’s the blog that’s pushed the idea that illegal immigrants are swarming the United States bringing infectious diseases, crime and “anchor babies.” He’s the blog that pushed the idea that President Obama really doesn’t love America and might not even be American. He’s the blog that mocks diplomacy while “talking tough” about war, Iran and ISIS – even if nothing he says makes any sense. He’s that blog that doesn’t care if what he’s saying is true or even remotely factual, just as long as conservatives react positively to what’s being said.
To be honest, Trump doesn’t “offend me.” Not because I don’t find his words offensive, but because he’s not saying anything I haven’t been hearing from conservatives for years. To his credit, he’s just the only Republican who’s been willing to say these things directly and specifically while many others have only subtly hinted to them.

Chesus. That was a good post. In my opinion he won't make it to the end but who knows? The one thing I like about Trump is he talks his mind weather everybody likes it or not. I don't like someone that needs somebody to write everything they say on a screen . I believe Bernie says whats on his mind most of the time and hopefully he hangs in there against Hillary because she is afraid to talk unless it is scripted and controlled by her handlers and that makes her look weak.

GO BERNIE GO.

I agree with some of what trump talks about because I am no longer a democrat and I am not sure if I am a republican anymore. I am an american like what Gene Simmons was talking about. I might even change my registration down the road because I think the two party thing is headed for a civil war the way things are going.

There are some religious democrats that won't fight with the far left and the left seems to shit on them like they don't matter so I can see things really falling apart if the division continues on this path of no return.

I heard a lot of people start believing in god right before there head plows up. good luck.

God, I fucking hope not!
you'd be surprised how many righties on this website have a story about how they followed a minority around the store just to see what they bought, how they paid for it, and what they drove home.

red even followed someone home from the store:

I saw two women buy over $500 of meat at a store with food stamps. Curious, I followed them to a church, where they were selling barbeque from a stand set up in the parking lot.
and then there are those who are concerned about people buying "fine seafood"... at the grocery store.

Checking out my groceries tonight,
The couple in front of me had a full cart of food.
I saw things in there like salmon and a cheesecake sampler.
They pull out the food stamp card and don't pay a cent for all this food.
LOL, not the first time I've seen this abuse.
Fuckin crazy!

Unreal! I guess food stamps are supposed to be for ramen noodles and spam. How dare someone buy "real" food with them. And the ladies that bought the meat to sell at the church should be applauded. Sounds a lot like corporate welfare to me.

The reactionary right have this idea of the deserving poor. Must never turn down a job even if said job wouldn't pay enough to live on. Must be nutritionally correct. Must take the bus or drive a shitty car. Must not have a baby while on food stamps. Must dress appropriately -- not too shabby but not too well and so forth. If a person doesn't act like they expect then that person is a cheater or a burden to society. Its as if you must give up freedom of choice if you take food stamps.

I stopped going to my HOA meetings during my first year living in my house because I couldn't listen to those white folks trying to devise a way to restrict the trick or treating to the kids in "our" neighborhood. Translation: "we don't want the black kids from the other neighborhood to trick or treat here".

"No atheists in foxholes", "he was an atheist until the cancer diagnosis and so on"...I've heard religious bigots say these many times before. It must make them feel all tingly and good about themselves. Its not a universal truth nor has anybody established if an atheist is even marginally likely to accept jaysus before death.

The first act of becoming a believer is to accept the unprovable as truth beyond question. The mind degrades in capability after making that first mistake. Then they just talk to each other and repeat mistaken ideas as truth.

Not to mention this is coming from the crowd of "small government"..

They want to control what you can wear, how you can wear it, who you can marry, and what you're allowed to put in your own body, including food..

These people are for small government when it comes to restrictions or regulations put on them, but biiig government for everybody else
