Here in the US, if you followed the food charts your kids would most likely be fat. Our USDA is a joke, our FDA is a joke. Our food is loaded with corn by-products. Cheap processed food is made with high fructose corn syrup and fillers. Our poor is fatter than anyone else because of this.

Still, you could feed your kids non-processed food cooked in lard and it would be healthier than school foods and processed foods.

Parents, when they see their kids getting fat, need to be a little more pro-active. You can still buy real food and save. I bought a Boston Butt to smoke for 2.19/lb, cheap bologna was 2.99/lb. It can be done.

I wonder how much of it has been out of sight, out of mind and people just forget. The only time I've seen Bush on TV was a special done showing his work with the poor in Africa. Cheney on the other hand is still being Cheney.

Obama has not been what was promised. More wars, expansion of the Patriot Act, fishy scandals, increased partisanship instead of reaching across the aisle, a healthcare plan that benefits the insurance companies and hospital corps more than the people, and economy built with smoke and mirrors (less people working but employment numbers going down?)...

Still, I can understand Obama's numbers going down, but have no real reasons why Bush's would go up.
