Gay people are not "asking the state for permission to marry"..Gay people asking the state to give them "permission" to marry....funny and sad.
How does "asking permission" qualify as a right? It seems more like they are seeking a privilege from a master.
Any gay person that wants to associate with another gay person in what they term a marriage, should do it, why do they want to get the blessing of the state? Does that mean the state owns them?
Asking permission from the state to associate with somebody else is just gay.
Gay people are not "asking the state for permission to marry"..
They are taking their case to the supreme court to get nationwide acceptance of the recognition of same sex marriage
You're apparently unaware of spousal rights, so I'd advise you to do a little research before commenting
I don't have any interest in arguing what people should do in a utopic society. I don't inhabit that society, I live in the real world, and in the real world gay couples in America are still being discriminated against on the sole basis that they're gayOf course they are asking for permission to marry, just like many straight people do. Slaves used to ask their masters for permission to marry too. What's changed?
The point is, asking for permission (or recognition) from a third party is absurd. If they really want actual rights, they shouldn't seek them from a source that specializes in stealing them.
I am not unaware of spousal rights. It's a misnomer, it identifies government as the giver and decider of what a so called "right" is.
Gay people are falling into a trap. They aren't going to be given equal rights, they will be given "equal suppression of rights" .
Fuck asking permission, BOTH gay and straight people obviously "ask permission" to marry.....that's the point of a license...permission. Fuck that. They should own themselves.

correct, they are asking for the same privileges that man/woman marriages get. Marriage is just a ceremony after-all, it is not the deity blessed life survival technique of sharing like it once was.Gay people are not "asking the state for permission to marry"..
no, that's not how it works.Gay people are falling into a trap. They aren't going to be given equal rights, they will be given "equal suppression of rights" .
no, it is actually a civil institution klansman.Marriage is just a ceremony after-all
is mocking people who petition for equal rights and liberties part of the libertarian platform?I don't think Paddywanker realizes who is the cry-baby here.

you sure do vividly depict gay male on male sex for a supposedly straight person. All cuz a dick went into a man`s mouth.....then up his ass, a new culture was born because it sure wasn`t a baby......
couldn't you die in a fire or something?Couldn`t you sleep in today ?
couldn't you die in a fire or something?
So in your world people, gays should have the "right" to be equally suppressed by government?I don't have any interest in arguing what people should do in a utopic society. This is unacceptable
