CXA3590 Build Plan

We don't really care about efficacy...EFFICIENCY is what matters.

But led's CAN meet and exceed hps in both categories.

@Doer you should work on understanding what/how led's work and what plants use to photosynthesize. Then you will see that most in here are actually trying to help you build a good lamp.
You should work on butting the fuck out.

I'm surprised everyone keeps answering Doer's questions. All of this info is easily found by a bit of searching.

Just found the Ignore button thankfully.
You should find info on playing in traffic.

Hey buttheads. Find those B3590s. Idiots. You are a bunch of sniveling wannabes.

The same thing can be said about most other questions people ask in grow forums.

The condescending 'help' in this thread isn't really helpful. The led fans essentially created their own game with their own rules. You're only allowed to play if you're willing to put in the work yourself, follow their rules, and provide epeen-fertilizer to those who help you potentially beat them at their own game. Perhaps you guys should start a guild...

Funny how many people who have put many hours into both qualitative and quantitative data, have been told to kick rocks....good start, Lance Armstrong like finish.....
This is meaningless. I have much more experience than most of you put together.

It is all Bullshit. Made up. I am not asking questions at least many that have been answered. But, this goof, trolled the bottom an morped the FALSE idea you can even get these COBs in B. Then he slides in the his passive agressive comments of dick wagging.

Don't forget your microscope.

So, all these folks, ya know, if they can't handle themselves high, they should not type.

I take a big poop on your LED gods.

The rules are:
Buy or build a device. Plug it in. Turn money into light and heat.

Same rules you play by no?

OK, why don't we discuss efficiency like children then?

http://www.digikey.com/en/articles/techzone/2011/oct/identifying-the-causes-of-led-efficiency-droop

LEDs operate most efficiently at low currents (of just tens of milliamps). As the current increases, efficiency tails off in a phenomenon known as “efficiency droop. For practical reasons, the LED lighting industry uses drive currents that are much higher than those for which efficiency is optimum. LED manufacturers are keen to address this compromise, but scientists are finding it tough to pin down the cause of the loss of efficiency.

However, the peak efficiency decreases more rapidly at lower temperatures as the current increases (i.e., the slope of the efficiency graph is steeper).

This implies that the magnitude of the droop actually decreases with increasing temperature. The outcome has led scientists to conclude that while an increasing temperature patently decreases the overall efficiency, temperature does not increase–and thus, is not the root cause of–efficiency droop.

We need to look beyond temperature for the source of the problem.

Unfortunately, although temperature has been eliminated, there is no definitive alternative. However, there are two promising theories: Electron leakage and Auger recombination.

They don't even see temperature as the cause of droop.

Your yesterday LED fantasies would not be the First Church spawned by RIU, but close.

There are no rules beyond that. I can run Arc Lamps if I want. What is your point?. Money again? Rules? You know you could re-capture the heat and run a duckweed, chicken poop, talapia cycle. So what? You could make some shoe polish and say its from Australia and sell it.

Supra addressed this a month or two ago. If you talked less and read more you wouldnt be so slow on the uptake. Its ok, this is a patient community if this thread wasnt evidence enough.

Why build an inefficient lamp with 100w emitters if you can just buy one cheaper right out of the box? I dont think anyone is going to be able to answer that question for you but best of luck....

this thread is a fuckin waste of space. Nothing productive has come from this/your mouth whatsoever. Just openly spittballing ideas that have been rolled over and overlooked for apparent reasons ppl have tried to address. If you don't hear what you want you get defensive. Waste of God Damn time. Build your shit. And maybe do some REAL research since you want to bash people that set down and share their real quantitative experiences with ppl willing to listen and don't have an ego the size of a fuckin ostrich egg to swallow and admit they are naive.

Why not just fuck off and stop harassing me? Slow on the uptake? Do you have degree in Physics.? I have explained WHY already, you boneheaded troll. And I bet you have never been thru a professional design exercise in your life. I conduct them with teams of Engineers.

I am not in your Church "community." That's why. I don't have to suckle on the Earth Mother, to feel good about my do-good-rness.

Why not suck on a rock? And you don't wish me the best of luck. What a faker.

You leave this thread and never come back. Can you manage that?

And who is being defensive? Not I. You Effetes are defensive. You defend you GOD Effete.

There has not been a single good idea that I have not adopted.

Go one. Find a busy intersection. You guys are blowing the thread up, and that is your intention.

We call this brush fire managers. You create a shit storm and then complain about it.

Little kids, you are. Look at your Ego Rant. What burn you so? Clod.
