Flushing is not leeching.
Flushing allows the plants to use up all available nutes and not absorb anymore. If they absorb more than they need, they are retained in the plants after harvest.
I associate the term leeching with flushing out soil- dissolving the nutrient solids since a lot of them are 'slow-release' and are too concentrated for cannabis. Alternatively, making your own soil allows you to control exactly what goes into it and, ultimately, what the plant receives.
