What was the point of Afghanistan!
Fuck if I know.

I said it may have had a point.

Through all the nonsense and political double speak who knows.

They said the Taliban was helping AQ, they were allowing training operations and generally being a pal to AQ. Invasion? Bad idea really, a mess.

We should hold those people accountable, but as we have all witnessed all out conventional war is both unnecessary and costly. We ended up capturing/killing the supposed mastermind of 9-11 using intel and a navy seal team of 8 troops. Seems a better alternative, no?
Unnecessary? I think al qaeda and most other terror cells were too organized that little 8 man teams would have zero chance at disrupting them. How quickly they have organized and damn near taken over iraq is unnerving. I think keeping terror cells unorganized and on the run is very important and has saved countless lives.

I still think that regardless of the political platform of these parties, they're both fundamentally flawed because they don't truly represent what we all need.

My feeling is we need to close the fucking border, so that way we don't have to provide this free healthcare (which fundamentally is a great idea) to illegals and pay for it. That way we can focus on our problems at home without the problem getting bigger constantly. Then we need to allow these oil pipelines to be built- we desperately need our own energy resources to ween ourselves off of the teet of the Middle East.

Begin there.

I know I'll catch flak for the border thing but I live in TX and these kids from South America coming into the States is super fucked up.

It's ok man. My bro in law who I love dearly is a huge Obama supporter. He too makes the claim that Afghanistan is the righteous war. He can't explain why either. He's one of the smartest people I know, partisanship does that to us.

How many of those people could have insurance if you provided food and shelter for them?

Many people are starving here.
Tomato tamato. The point I'm making is peoples health and well being shouldn't be driven by greed. Access to health care shouldn't be reserved to only the people with money. I view it as a basic necessity, no different than food, water, and shelter. I bring it up because it's not viewed that way in this country

Nice start off with a partisan rant and end with the need for cooperation. Both Clinton and Bush could get bipartisan support, I wonder why that is? Now the dems/libs that have read this far are all ready spitting at the keyboard baseless conjecture but the truth is the Obama administration for the first two years had zero compromise. You can't start off a relationship like a tyrant child and expect mercy when your partners get the upper hand and that is no an excuse for the ridiculousness of the republicans just an observation. We the people have seen both sides acting like children with zero compromise since and are sick and tired of it from BOTH sides. While republicans are alienating people with their fundamentalist beliefs democrats look like school yard children name calling and finger pointing. BOTH parties are bought and paid for. BOTH parties are a joke right now and calling one more so than another is partisan bullshit showing that you care for our well being as much as the hacks running the show.
More people equate the gridlock that has been a hallmark of the last 6 years with Republican intransigence than Democrats acting like school children. One case in point, the Republicans CONTINUOSLY bringing to the floor of the House votes to abolish the Affordable Health Care Law, and creating more panels on Benghazi. That useless waste cost the American people time that could be used for something else, like finding way's to create jobs in THIS country. Intel, a US based corporation, just recently announced it will spend over a billion dollars, creating 1000's of job's in Israel to make chips. Why should that be? Seemingly all the Republicans can do is scream about that black man in the White House, and nothing else. How's that for a rant, and yea, I do care about the COMMON man, not some conservative assholes that want nothing to change, and would like to continue the status quo, which basically means fuck the rest of you. Ayn Rand is a goddess right. That is the definition of a conservative, fuck the rest of you. There is no humanity in conservative philosophy. I align myself with progression, meaning a change for the better. How's that for a rant. Peace out

Their disconnection from each other would have made for a nearly impossible mission for small squad tactics.

Carpet bombing doesn't work on caves.

Cruise missiles and MOABs are a lot of money.

Again, not condoning, only explaining.

The country is moving to your side of the argument on healthcare and will eventually get there. It's our god given right to go to the ER with a runny nose.

You obviously have a partisan problem and can only see out of one eye. Harry Reid has sat on 30+ job bills republicans passed. You need to let up on the kool-aid

No sides here. I got shot at, rocketed, and mortared too many times to have any affiliated parties.

No check boxes ticked on my registration for party.

I find both wars to be wrong.

Ask me that question when I was 18 and I would have more then likely said it was a 'righteous' war.

'They' say there may have been a reason for Afghanistan. Who is they? Maybe my subconscious. Could be I am making up for my comrades who passed in that conflict.

3 years since we left that's pretty damn fast if you ask me. I have a feeling we will see another major terror attack within the next decade.

Yea, I'm a partisan, so what? I just don't like people getting screwed, which doesn't seem to matter to the GOP, and that is probably why Reid said no. So what are you boyo? You must feel strongly about something as your name implies. See, I am convinced God doesn't exist, where as your name implies that he might. No convictions? Oh, and by the way, I don't like kool-aid, you have to use too much sugar. But I love acid. Peace

Absolutely, except I think it'll be the UK, just to send a message to the USA. Then it's a homegrown attack here.

i would carry on but you get the idea about when those laws came out thanks obama!!!

I go to the store and buy groceries that have required labels on each. If I buy a dozen cans of the same soup, the labels are redundant, but mandated.
labels on soup tins interferes with your life? you do know the government dosent mandate you reading them?
My dollar doesn't buy what it did thanks to the money press.
thanks i̶n̶f̶l̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ obama!!!
If I make a phone call, not only do I realize it's being monitored and stored,
legitimate worry thanks b̶u̶s̶h̶ obama!!!
I am paying the fed gov it's piece to make that call.
gah taxes

When I stop and buy gas, it contains ethanol which is not the best thing for my tractor and my 85 gold wing to run on.
really? what has it done to them?
When I get home and check on my garden, there is something missing that I'd like to grow outdoors but can't for fear of prison.
ahh yes reefer madness a well known obama campaign video

when oh when can we rid ourselves of obama and get rid of these silly laws he's introduced.......?

Uh would hate to see the number of taxes and laws one has to obey/pay in a 24 hours period but it's going to be lengthy list.
how many of those laws are new additions?#

its almost like you lot have lived your lives with these laws but only realised they were there when a blackman became president

Not our problem. If they bring it to our shores, then it's our problem.

I say stay out of the rat-holes in the middle east and let them sort it out.
