This is by far the best forum that I've been on. "Newbies" as experienced growers on here call us is tolerable. But rudeness of the term is crude. Why would a forum like this be put in place if we all knew the answers? I'm pretty sure you had to start somewhere as well and had many questions in the beginning. Please understand people want to learn from experienced people like yourself. We look up to ya'll. Not being rude so please don't take this response the wrong way.

Not trying to be rude but sometimes people don't want to take the time and do research and want to be spoon fed. Questions like he ask he could have simpler gone to the canna website.

A great thread on growing in coco already exists on RIU so I would like to keep this one Canna specific.

You're right and I understand the term spoon fed very well as my sifu drilled it into our heads. But I can vouch that Cannas website was down for at least 5 days when he was asking because I had tried to go on there myself. And EvlMunkee's last post sums it up for this thread.
Are you pretty experienced in Canna's nutes and growing regimes Sky rocket?

I started using canna nutes and coco about 9 months through trial and error. My first coco run was the coco brick by botanicare (I think). Too me that was too much time and messy having to add water to the brick. I like canna coco because of how easy it was to use out of the bag and how there website was very useful. I still gave questions myself about why would you use rhizotonic toward the end of the plant cycle even though the plants have a established root system. But anyways I'm correctly running canna nutes, additives and coco. My strains right now are super lemon haze in one room and critical kush sog lolly pop style in another room.I have not have no problems using canna nutes or coco just there canna boost is expensive as hell. When I run sog aka drain to waste I've also used house of garden wich I do like as well. Not to knock canna down but based on my experience house of garden has a better tech support. I run canna nutes and additives to the "t" I follow the nutrient calculator. Hers a quick pick of my ck sog in canna coco.

Yea I was kind of wondering that myself about the Rhizotonic. I just run it down to .5 teaspoon per gallon around week 4 of 12/12. It is a Marine Algae recipe so in my opinion it may keep doing something benificial as roots are always growing. As for the boost, my goodness is it expensive indeed! I like it because I can just add it in without warming it up in dilution to adding like molasses I prefer hand watering and having total control since I like water temps to be around 69 to 70 degrees. No higher that 70 if I can help it. Coco is the best of both worlds in my opinion. Medium and ponics all in one. Best of luck on your grow. Cheers

I'm a Canna Coco Groupie, lol. It's just way to simple to grow in then to grow in anything else. They've took all the guessing out of getting good results with their products. Even though boost is expensive, it is a complete source compared to others by adding a bunch of other things to make up for one bottle of boost. And by the time you crunch the numbers you'll come out close to the same in cash you've spent on other products. ( In my personal opinion). Canna Rulez!

I have yet to find any fault with anything canna produces. Their coco coir is as clean as it gets, reuses well and if I had a complaint, might be just a bit pricey, but worth it in the grand scheme of things.
I am in the process of completing my new gr and canna will be all I use for media and base nutes ( coco A&B). Can't get enough of the plant "GLOW" that comes from using these products properly, covergirl ain't got shit on canna :eyesmoke:

Ok so I'm reading a little bit more on Cannazym. Me and my OCD, lol. And I see where it states that you can increase to the maximum of 40ML ( 3tsp a gallon ) at the start if 12/12 for extra flowering power. That's a lot of Cannazym, ecspecially if you have a long flowering. Is it really worth it? I like the idea of aiding in flowering power but that seems excessive on use. Anybody done this and seen a difference? And also would it make any difference to use the maximum only at the last three weeks of flower? I've read this whole thread but not got any specifics on that.

I used cannazym for a couple of rounds and I never took it past 50% until the grow was completed, then I used it full strength + a bit to treat the used coco and then mixed the rinsed coco about 50/50 with new.

I think it is a great product, but like all the rest, start lighter than 50% and work up from there.

I use cannazym all the way through at 1ml/L, on the last 2 I didn't even treat or clean the used coco, I just cut out a hole in the middle with all the old big roots and transplanted straight into the hole and these 2 have really shot up, so much so that i'm at my max height with the light and she's still growing, not sure what I can do to stop her burning on the light :(

I would have preferred it if they had tested with some old roots, I don't have any paper or apple sauce in my pots :D

I've also been reading up on the use of pondzyme instead of cannzym as this would be a significant cost saving and it seems to work quite well but I haven't got round to buying any yet :)
