here is the best feeding schedule I found and have used for 3 years ,just tweak to suit up or down , always PH to 5.5-6.5,add Boost and PK if you wish as per bottle- I recommend 1/2 dose and work up ( I use mega crop these days) These pics are from a video I ripped a few years back from a Jesse J ......

@Scuzzman, thanks for the simple dose / schedule info. However, I have a question about the advice Pieter Klaassen offers in his CANNA Österreich video.

Here Pieter advises to water 10% of pot volume rather than drain to waste when growing in pure coco coir. Pieter says the goal is to maintain pot moisture at 30 - 40% pot volume weight. He gives example in the video.

In another CANNA Österreich video where substrate is coco coir and clay pebbles (a "hydro substrate") he advises watering drain to waste.

Currently I am growing in pure coco coir and wondering how I should approach watering. Any advice is appreciated.

10-20% run off is not necessary if you not overdose I do sometimes without run off the plant eat all the ec and the run off ec is lower then what your top fees is.

It's all about keeping a good EC and not letting salts build up in the Coco.

RTW is the way to go IMO. I aim for 10% or at the very least feed until there's a leak of solution from the bottom of the pot.
If you're unsure, try running to waste and checking the pH and EC of the run off.
If what's coming out is the same as what's going in then you're golden.

IME I find that salt build up is inevitable and you're running the risk of lockout or burn. Lockout can also be an issue as your pH will change as the plant picks up nutrients.
A good example of this is using liquid silicone without RTW. Over time the pH will keep creeping up and you'll get issues.
Most commonly you'll find that the EC will be elevated in the runoff, this is normal but anything over 2.6 (or symptoms of burning if you've never tried this before) you'd need to flush through with a mild solution of 1.2 sat a pH of 5.8 until the runoff reads the same.

Crazy to think I continuously water rock wool 24h a day and don’t need to deal with anything like salt buildup or inconsistencies between what I put in, what’s in the media and what comes out, when you’re watering and allowing a dry back period you’re essentially stacking up the ec within the medium

Yep, if it's drying out then nutrient salts will precipitate.
TBH that will occur in any kind of medium.
It's the way they precipitate in Coco that's more of an issue over rockwool

Plus if you're watering 24/7 you're not exactly going to have an issue.
Just out of interest, why continuous watering?

I just found over the years that plants responded better to continuous watering, continuous irrigation with an oxygenated nutrient solution means the roots are getting as much dissolved o2 as I can possibly provide. Plus it ironed out a lot of guess work as to what was happening in the media. I can remember at one point trying to catch the run off from 30 plants in a recirculating system and doing the guess/math work to determine the parameters within the block. When I irrigate 24/7 I know what goes in will be the same as what’s in the block and also what comes out, meaning I can just monitor the res and get a pretty good idea of what’s happening in the block.
I should mention I did this with coco blocks and canna coco nutes for a while but in the end opted for grodan and canna aqua.
