you didnt consume enough..i need to come up with a recipe for this...hmmm...too bad you cant fry it! lol
Something to be said about effectively plugging your nose 100% when you chug nasty liquid. Thanks for the replies, actually making the brew atm. Going to finish boiling and let cool, strain and drink liquid. It's horribly bitter already and still has another while to simmer. Using lots of cranberry juice to facilitate the alkaloid migration. This will be much easier to down than what I tried initially. Eh, we will see...
I urge you to consider cutting a few inches off of each one, say 3 or so. Let the ends form a cork like seal on the ends, maybe a week or two, then get yourself some cactus mix and put each down about two inches into the soil in a nice, flat ceramic pot. it is the perfect time of year for it. water this well drained soil about once every other week. You could also use your stash of rooting powder, or gel and coat the part of the plant that you intend to put into the soil. After a surprisingly short amount of time you will begin to see some new spines on that little plug. While your little plug is getting ready it will slowly begin to shrink between the ridges. Once you see those spines begin to grow, and the plug begin to swell a little you will know that you have gotten roots.Hey all, my S.P. cuttings finally came today. about 26" total. tart adds to bitter..you need sweet and salt..if its the flavor,if its the texture, try something bland to get down..soak french bread..Thanks for the replies, actually making the brew atm. It totally screwed up my jack lalain juicer. Unless you get some sort of compression juicer, I don't think it will work.Ok, so I chopped 12" using the outer 1/2" only, no core. Blended with cranberry juice. This resulted in about 24 oz of frothy green "pudding". Tried as I did, I was only able to get about 7Tbs of this down without gagging/punking. Absolutely Vile, as some may already know. So, I strained the remainder of the "goop" and drank the bitter cranberry juice. I hope to get some effects as eating that disgusting pudding was far worse than any description I had read. I expected bad, but this shit was unreal. Anywho, I wish I had a juicer. Should make things simpler_~
Wow, very nice cacti canndo! Does "cactus mix" from Lowes work or do I need to mix some special concoction? I was thinking of doing 1/3 cactus mix,1/3 perlite 1/3 potting soil in those proportions, mixed. Looking for the cheapest way to propagate some cacti here-
