aphrodisia

Morning all. Have been seeing some fantastic prices for higher wattage LEDs from this company Queenshiny Ltd off of ebay. Does anyone have any experience with this company ?
Nvm I just saw ur pics haha. So you don't think these LED panels are worth it? What will you use for lighting next go around?
Too bad aphrodisia, but looks like you'll have something to smoke so not all's lost If I read through the post right, you had 4 plants total under 1x 300W panel, with 180 actual draw. If so, you have the same thought I had after my last round, insufficient light for that many plants/space. The thread I'm running now is essentially a test to see if giving them 100W per plant and within coverage range of the light config will flower well, I'll be flipping to 12/12 in about 1 1/2 weeks. If they don't produce what I'd consider nice bud, and decent yield, I'll be moving on to flower with induction. They do veg well though, very well, LED's are my go forward light for veg, they seem to manage stretching and keep tight nodes, which I like running mainly sat dominant strains. They are brilliant for vegging but not for flowering.
Don't blame LEDs, blame the lights you purchased
There's tons of mediocre led panels being sold. Knowing what to buy requires an education
After I got hosed 3 years ago, I made it a point
Companies like Hans panels, A51, Apache Tech make really good panels, but they cost considerably more than Vipar
Lots of Watts is NOT the last word in how to measure a purchase.
Looks like your girls are sats, which do not produce as much bud as Indicas, but they provide a more upbeat high
Yours look vg to me
Hi Pet, while I don't disagree that the higher end panels are likely better (I'll likely grab an A51 soon to see first hand), I would point out that I haven't seen anyone using A51's putting 4 plants under a 160 or 190 panel, there's simply not enough coverage, regardless of watts or any measurement you throw at the issue. What I do see is a lot of chinese panel grows, trying to run too many plants or cover too large an area (same thing imo). Then being disappointed at the mediocre results. Likely based on the marketed wattage of the panels which is simply not enough when you consider that most panels draw 50-65% of their marketed power, claim exaggerated coverage, or both.Don't blame LEDs, blame the lights you purchased

Exactly, most using A51's would use 2x 160's or 2x190's for 4 plants. That is good coverage for the area for "average size" but nice size plants. vs. 4 with essentially a chinese panel pulling somewhere between an A51 160 or 190, simply not enough coverage, regardless of make/panel.You would need 2 A51s for 4 plants of any decent girth. They claim a 3 x3 ft print with vg umols/m*/sec
Not going to see that from cheap, exaggerated spec panels
Agreed, that's what I mentioned in my post yesterday, not all's lost, you'll have some personal smoke, and not terrible considering the light coverage. Would be great if you post the final dry/cured weight. It could be an acceptable grams/watt ratio (not that it means much but not a bad guideline) all things considered. You did well considering the coverage, I've seen guys (my next door neighbour being one) grow smaller plants with less bud outdoor.I took another look today at the hanging plants. Considering there were 4 plants under a single LED light using an actual draw of 180w, which works out at 45w per plant, I would say they didn't do too badly. While the buds may be on the small side there is quite a few of them and they do look dense. It would be interesting to see what the final yield is.
Ha, an old-schooler like me, I always dry with the small bud leaves on, just pluck any fan leaves, then trim after drying. Not sure if it makes any difference, but it has never hurt and I'm a creature of habit.I always have problems with the picture uploader on RIU lately
