I would say this is the first time I actually see them looking like proper buds.
They are looking like buds now, any chance you can post some pics with white light in your next update? Kind of hard to see them with the LED lights but they do look more formed than the last update :)

Sure no probs GroErr, will update again in a few days with lights off. I think they may have been in a state of hibernation due to low temps up to now.

Yeah, cooler during lights off is not a bad thing in the last week or two, but I try to target lights off to minimum 60-65, lights-on 75-80 though most of flowering...

Awesome grow you have going on I've been really interested in a led panel like this and wondering how they do while flowering but it looks pretty decent, what r you hoping for a yield?

Looking at the color, the tent lighting in lacking ~ 20% blue

You might grab a couple Cree FloodLights (NW) + a cheap vanity fixture at HD/Lowes...

Well I was starting to think I wasn't going to get much by way of yield, but I think they are only just beginning to get going now so at this stage is pretty hard to say. Give them another ten days or so and I will better be able to know.

Sweet dude, you think it was the low temps that was the problem, with they small/slow bug growth?

I think low temps definitely have something to do with the slow flowering although the LEDs might have had something to do with it as well. My temps have only been around 60F throughout.

Just asking cuz I'm wondering if the LEDs r worth it for the whole growth, they seem to work awesome during vegging but not to sure about flowering yet, but I'll keep my eye out on ur thread and find out.

low temps can slow growth and cause yield to suffer (smaller buds). It will also bring out some great colors though. Not just purple..

Im in the same boat you are. I have never grown with LEDs before but because I wasn't too happy with yields I was getting from my 250w HPS I decided to try these ones out and see the result I get. When I started this grow I was hoping for at least 4 dry ounces but that's looking very doubtful. The hairs have started going orange on the top buds but trichs are still clear. I think they still have some growing to do and I can only keep my fingers crossed. Will update again in about a week.

Damn that's lame, hope you can get almost that tho, there's a few other threads I'm following about the cheaper led panels and they just got into flowering and I'll see how they do but if not I'll get a HPS, wonder if it wasn't enough power for 4 plants wonder how that panel you have would do with two plants.

Trichs are still clear, you can probably go another 2 weeks, let them go until they're developed/cloudy they should fatten up a bit, some nice buds forming there. You gotta get/keep the temps up next round though 60'sh is low, some more lighting for that space/no of plants would be good all around, get the temps up and improve your yield.

I've read that with led you want at least 100 Watts per plant, I'm running about 110 per. Then I've also read that with led you have to let them flower longer for the buds and trichs to fully develop, I'm on my first run flowering with leds so I'm having to learn as I go too

Sort of. There are so many outright lies about leds, or lighting in general, that the average grower is totally confused

What we want is ~ 500-1000 umols per m* (squared)/sec. [Edit it's way more than 50 umols/m*/s, 500-1000] Doesn't matter whether we are using HPS, EDFL, CFL, or led

That is your barometer/qualifier as to whether the light is up to the task. Most leds companies lie, using the potential output @ 100%, when 70% is max at this time. High quality lights (Apache/A 51) are lucky to hit 70%= ~ 30-% efficiency, so do the math

Now, of those X umols/m*, we do need the right combination of spectrums, which is different for veg and flower.

The sooner you learn this, and demand more from led manufacturers, the sooner we will get QUALITY lights, BUT, don't expect $1/w. $2.50+/w is more likely at this stage of development. I routinely bang china factories over the head with their deceptive advertising

Are you currently growing any with LED panels if so what one?

Hi GroErr. Yes I made a mistake In fixing my tube heater to the wall of my box instead of putting it on the floor. As heat rises all the heat was just being sucked out by the extraction fan on top. Lets see how they do in the next week or so dont want to write them off just yet.

I am using 2 ufo 90 that were gifted to me by A51. One is 5000, the other is 3500= ~ 4250, which is great for vegging, and may well be for flowering.

I added 3 x 4ft @ 16w x 3000k tubes once buds set and had a damn nice grow going until I f'd it up by over ferting with minerals. Once buds set, I added 3 @ ~ 16w 3000K x 4ft led tubes, only because I had them

Hi petflora. Im curiuos what kind of yield do you get with those ufos ? And is bud formation slower than with HPS ?

I stopped using hps 4 years ago. Never had a great result, but I wasn't the grower then that I am now.

I had 2 beautiful clones flowering, then I mixed Sea Crop minerals too strong, and burned the piss out of all the primary leafs. In spite of that I got a good result
