Zeitgeist: News, Politics, Pandemic and Trump

I'll find peace when Trump is out of office & not before then
Time will heal this wound..........in around four years or so.
What should really scare you is who comes next, that's what keeps me up at night.
Take care and one love........whether you hate my skin tone or not.

Trump in 2007: ‘I’m Excited’ for Housing Market Crash

Once again, Trump makes bank. He'll crow about this crisis too because, as he says, CDC is overstating the epidemic. He'll be fine playing golf with his other 1%ers at Mar al Lago at our expense. Maybe he'll visit Li Jin Pin who reportedly is in isolation too.

Brother.........please find peace within yourself this hate is not healthy.
Worse is,it only spreads when you have a mask on........no?
He has reason to be angry as a citizen and a patriot, Trump is a dangerous, incompetent fool who is making things worse and is crippling America's response, if someone close to you dies over this you might become angry too.

Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy.

You might feel differently about Trump, your dear leader in four months, if he keeps fucking up (he will) and this thing is in full bloom. You are a single issue voter and don't care about much else than Trump and getting the brown folks. The only reason you even commented was to defend the dear leader, pathetic. Another racist fool with his head up his own asshole, won't help though, you'll still probably get it anyway, most will.

Little known secret, the vast majority of prescription drugs, medical equipment and their ingredients and parts are not made in the US, better start praying because that's what the current administration is relying on to save us.
When I worked at barr labs the "potent" part of the medicine we were making was sourced from China. That was 17 years ago. I stayed a few months. We had x factor meds we made. Women who had not went through menopause couldn't even pass through that sealed area. From what I saw the various non potents were made around the world. The union carbide disaster in India in 84 killed thousands. Most of the "dangerous" drug testing was done in India. They can't sue. Same with "potents". 1 microgram inhaled kills you. Coumadin potent was powerful. Enough to make 50,000 tablets came in a sealed glass tube about 3/4 inch by 1". The center of the building was the "hot" area. Double taped tyvek papr hood etc. Dressed going in wash downs going out. Strip one suit wash down, in another chamber then desuit the last. I went back into normal manufacturing. The guards had cameras everywhere. And guns. They walked around all over. Crazy place. You could eat off the floor. But I wouldn't.

I imagine the pandemic will be ravaging the Russians too, I figured the response will be worse than Trump's and the resources much more scant. It might run right through a troll farm like the IRA! It will hurt business, including them! I haven't heard much about it out of the evil empire.

WHO increases coronavirus risk to 'very high'; whistleblower says US workers weren't ready for evacuees

The World Health Organization on Friday increased its coronavirus risk assessment to "very high" as cases outside of China continue to increase. But officials caution the virus can still be contained if the chain of transmission can be broken.

"What we see at the moment are linked epidemics of COVID-19 in several countries, but most cases can still be traced to known contacts or clusters of cases. We do not see evidence as yet that the virus is spreading freely in communities," said Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director General, on Friday.

"As long as that’s the case, we still have a chance of containing this coronavirus, if robust action is taken to detect cases early, isolate and care for patients and trace contacts."

Meanwhile, more than 20 vaccines are being developed worldwide with results from clinical trials expected in a few weeks, he said.

The coronavirus outbreak has infected more than 83,000 people and killed nearly 3,000 people globally as of Friday morning.

China, though hardest hit, has seen lower numbers of new infections, with 327 additional cases reported Friday, bringing the country's total to 78,824. South Korea has recorded 2,337 cases, the most outside of China.

Here's the latest on the outbreak of COVID-19:

Steven Seagal charged by Securities and Exchange Commission with failing to disclose payments

(CNN)The Securities and Exchange Commission announced Thursday it had settled charges against actor Steven Seagal for failing to disclose payments for promotional work.
The "Above the Law" star was charged with promoting an investment in an initial coin offering (ICO) conducted by Bitcoiin2Gen (B2G).
According to the SEC, Seagal failed to disclose he was promised $250,000 in cash and $750,000 worth of B2G tokens for his work.
The promotions included posts on his social media accounts encouraging the public not to "miss out" on Bitcoiin2Gen's ICO, as well as a press release titled "Zen Master Steven Seagal Has Become the Brand Ambassador of Bitcoiin2Gen."

The press release included a quotation from Seagal stating that he endorsed the ICO "wholeheartedly."
The promotions came six months after the SEC's 2017 DAO Report warning that coins sold in ICOs may be securities.
In accordance with the anti-touting provisions of the federal securities laws, any celebrity or others who promotes a virtual token or coin that is a security must disclose the nature, scope, and amount of compensation received in exchange for the promotion.
"These investors were entitled to know about payments Seagal received or was promised to endorse this investment so they could decide whether he may be biased," Kristina Littman, Chief of the SEC Enforcement Division's Cyber Unit, said in a statement. "Celebrities are not allowed to use their social media influence to tout securities without appropriately disclosing their compensation."
The SEC's order found that Seagal violated the anti-touting provisions of the federal securities laws.
Without admitting or denying the SEC's findings, Seagal agreed to pay back $157,000, the amount he actually received, plus more than $16,000 in interest, and a fine of another $157,000, the government order says.

Seagal has also agreed not to promote any securities, digital or otherwise, for three years.
In 2018 it was announced that Russia had appointed the actor as a "special representative" on US-Russian humanitarian ties.

CNN has reached out to reps for Seagal for comment about the SEC charges.
