ok so im down to do the contest. i have a little question. ok so i never topped my plant. it just grew out alot. but my question is some of the bottom leafs are like completely dead can i just cut them off or will it shock my plant??? but im doing a soil grow under 2 40'' long flouro daylight tubes. its flowering now 12/12. havent used any nutes. and never topped. my plant is now in day 6 of flowering but it really dosent look any different. when will i start seeing the double the size affect??

my plants was put into it's first 12 hours of dark last sunday at 10pm. I havne't topped, but will continue keeping only the two two leaf sets.

You can chop of any dead leaves, the plant isn't using them, no shock will come. In fact, it's recommended.

atombomb, can you explain me that formula? all i recognize is pi and i'm assuming that 28.26 is what i'm trying to yield or something.

ok so when will my plant start getting bigger cause i know that when you flower your plant doubles in size? when will i see the changes?

what changes are you looking for? It is always getting bigger.

well from what i read when you switch to 12/12 your plant will double in size. and that you should start seeing drastic changes in your plant. thats really what i mean.

The plants just start taking off. Leaves numbers of fingures on fan leaves light drop off a little. Plants might start forming alternating nodes. Mainly, buds start forming. You see hairs and such. I'll post a picture of a bud this just just barely starting to bud later. My roommates mom is visiting right now, and she already made comment when she walked into our bathroom...past my room, THE room, that it smells like the dank. I told her we are smoking solely in my room to keep the smell from filling the house....

Are those preflowers??? I'd say they were stipules at first glance, but now they look too plentiful to be stipules.

The plant isn't going to transform into like a rose or something. I tried desperatly to find this grow on a 12ft sativa. It showed a good "transforming" from veg to flowering. Branches start looking more like buds is the best i can say.

thats crazy. You say 6 days into flowering?? Mines definetly behind the curve when it comes to that. I've got two nodes with hairs sticking out of the preflowers, the rest are just chillin. My other plant is showing the first signs of budding, but thats not the one that matters.

The buds are gonna form at the top of the branches. Look for hairs coming out of there. The preflowers just tell you sex.

I'm anxious for buds too. I don't think they really start to become anything until like 3-4 weeks in. But the smelling has certainly started, thats for sure.

Close up of the 2ndary growth. This plant wasn't even under the HPS the entire time. It was actually being stretched under the aerogardens lights cause i had them too far away for reasons. Soooo i'm really liking this structure so far with this plant. The 2ndary growth is actually catching up with the top cola.

thats a clone. The mother was from teh bagseed. I loves clones.
