Yesterday's Mass Shooting.

Your statement was that you can't own them. You can, as you've now stated. You can also own a .50 just like you can own a 22lr, same process. You jump through federal hoops to own just about any firearm that requires and NICS check.
Please educate yourself a little bit.
You can't just go out and buy one, even at a Texas gun show.

Federal can and will be changed, it's just a matter of time and mass shootings. License the operator, register the weapon and insure it, because you will be liable for its misuse. You do it for your car and you need that, you don't need a gun.
Ya, but that's not what the current law is, now you're going off into hypotheticals for some weird reason.

Yes, we are aware that people with no good argument to stand on may descend into focusing on trivial minutia to deflect. We see this in other wrong headed right wing nonsensical arguments such as the border wall, vaccination, educating children, human caused climate change and Trump's legal woes.

By deflecting to a completely irrelevant point, you basically admitted that today's lax gun laws are stupid.

I haven't made any statement like that. All I've said is be truthful and factual. That's really it. Trumps a fucking treasonous moron, climate change is real, the far right is a threat, and you can absolutely buy a 50 cal like any other gun.

It's not hypothetical at all, look at the polls on guns and look at the political situation with the republicans imploding over the next couple of years. Also take into consideration shifting demographics, even with geography with votes and gerrymandering, the law of gravity is starting to take hold. Donald is going down and the magats in congress will lose their backstop and Jack might even put a few of the in prison over J6. If Donald walked his fans out of the GOP into his own party they would be fucked, fortunately for them he won't have much time to do it since he will soon be indicted.

It's a hypothetical until in happens, unless you have a crystal ball and/or time machine. Which if you do I'd like to discuss some things with you.

Gun nuts fear the future for a reason and it's more about putting two and two together than crystal ball gazing. The NRA has a purpose, other than conning suckers and a lot of money is spent (and ripped off) to fight sensible gun laws.

That's fine, let's just be factual, because truth matters.
the NRA is a lobbyist organization that doesnt have our best intrest at heart. You can also buy a 50 cal at a Texas gun show or any other gun store

Irrelevant to the OP. I don't know why you want to deflect away from yesterday's mass shooting but you did. That is what right wing radicals do. You dealt it and we all smell it.

The thing is, attitudes toward this country's liberal regulations on gun ownership are shifting away from the status quo. This is an ongoing trend. I don't know how many more will be sacrificed to guns in the US before we reach a tipping point where constitutionally valid regulations are put in place that finally include the "well regulated" part of the 2A. Maybe ten years and 100,000 dead, IDK, I just know the tide is against the status quo.

I pointed out a page or so ago that Oregon, which has always been a stronghold for lax gun laws just passed reasonable regulations that have been shown to cut rates of accidents, suicide and homicides. You can just go ahead and blather on about some legal minutia or you can do something positive for your gun owning community by making everybody a little bit safer.

It's your choice.

The irony is I voted straight dem this past election a few weeks ago....I honestly try to stay out of the politics section because of this exact reason, 'if you don't agree with me 100% you're the exact opposite of me and my enemy', it's really fucking stupid. However I felt compelled to reply because I've seen @DIY-HP-LED say other stuff that is factually incorrect in the past in other threads of similar topics.
