I would've opened it to now if I think about it, especially in todays world that dude could have handed you a fucking bomb.

What.... are you the bomb squad? Only an idiot would open a package they suspect has a bomb in it!

Years ago I worked for a small healthcare company.... we always had pissed off people making threats because their request for non-covered services were denied. One day when we got to work there was a paper bag sitting on a bench in front of the office door. NO ONE went to look inside the bag.... we called the police. It wasn't a bomb... but nonetheless, the point is... you don't open a package you suspect could have a bomb in it unless you are the bomb squad (or just stupid)

Yes I agree and I didn't even think of the bomb thing to be quite honest.

I suppose these people could be risking their lives
You never know what could be hidden in a package.
it is true I like to be the devils advocate but I would hazard to say everyone here has stolen somthing before in thier lives. I bet the users on here have done more criminal acts than most other forums so I just advocating for them,

I wouldnt have taken it. Nor would I have opened it. I have, however, stolen before, but as a form of retaliation. Not that that makes it right.

according to public record i am a thief too.....shit; people make mistakes... now not to stir the pot anymore here, but opening the package may have been wrong, but not unjustified...you dont just walk up to a delivery guy w/a box and ask him to drop it off, thats just not how "normal" people/business works; so criminal activity could/would be assumed... given our nations terrorism scare tactics, one could have been legally justified in opening the package, once he had accepted it, in order to ensure he was not carrying a bomb...i think the real mistake was accepting the package, thats what i see as most wrong.. the taking the weed i could possibly see doing in the excitement of the moment; doesnt make it right, and he may have felt bad about it afterward, but not really anyway to go back on it after the fact...and hell, he had over a lb to smoke and try to forget about it... but i think he had ill intentions before he even opened it; pretty much knowing it was something illegal...thats why he accepted it in the first place...imho:joint:

That what came to my mind when someone commented about bombs.
We live in a completely different world than we use to. :peace:

only reason i wouldnt have took it is fear of arrest or retaliation

yeah....most of the stories like these where the "finder" tries to play both sides of the fence, they end up getting busted for it....if not, i would be worried about who i pissed off by stealing their 1.5lbs....might not be a good situation
