x2 Blue Mystic AF grow

ive never done a coco only i always mix perlite with it
i know when the coco dries out the ph will fluctuate

Damn .. I wanted to mix perlite but I was told it's not necessary in coco ): Should I flush them with pH'ed water until the run off is at the desired pH?

You're not supposed to even let coco dry out!!! Always keep moist. Very difficult to overwater even in straight coco. First of all you need a descent PH meter to even attempt coco!!! PH water to around 5.8. You don't need any perlite...more coco, more room for nutes, and less watering. Don't go by runoff. Search the "slurry" method...again you'll need a calibrated PH meter. Coco is explosive once dialed in. Wish you luck and don't buy into the auto fad until the genetics get better like photos.

I was keeping it moist until the leaves were looking droopy. Right now all I'm doing is watering shallow everyday and the plants are looking a bit better. There is still a lot of yellow but the newer growth is green! I definitely learned a lesson. I'll be posting some pictures later today!!

blue mystic is a nice strain! finished some a few months back and it was the easiest thing to grow

Nice! I chose blue mystic because it's supposed to stay small and have low odor for stealth purposes but thankfully I no longer need to be fully stealth and right after I'm done with the rest of my seeds I'm going to find some dank strains!

Update on the growth.. I screwed up the pH so their first/second set of leaves are yellow. The newest growth is looking better and no signs of yellow!!

On a side note does anyone know why the leaves are droopy? Im definitely not over watering so my best guess would be the pH was off?

First 2 pictures are of Mary and the second 2 are of Jane. Just in case you didn't know Jane is in fact 2 days younger than Mary.

Sorry I've been busy but here's an update on the girls!
So far its been roughly 20 days since Mary & Jane have sprouted and I'm dissapointed in them. Its likely its my fault for them being so small but I mean common! Both plants are on their 3rd node after a little over 2 weeks seems pathetic! I know for a fact I stunted the shit out of them when I fed them bad pH'ed water so I went ahead and planted 2 pink lemonade photo plants.. Both sprouted yesterday,10/19/13, and are already off to a good start!

We've all hard to learn the hard way. Your first lesson is ,if you want to go coco, get a descent ph pen. Follow KISS method until you get the hang of things. Autos are honestly hit or miss...start with some good cheap photo strains. Good luck.

If anyone still cares I have a little update.. After torturing my plants for long enough I finally figured out the secret to coco.. Buuuut of course with my luck as soon as I figure everything out the plants started to flower so now I have 2 miniature flowering autos.. here's a some pictures

Coco is a hard thing to start out with. Its my 3rd grow and I still wont go near it yet lol. Especially with an auto. PH needs to be PERFECT, nutes perfect. Coco needs to be flushed alot as well (so i have been told).
Those plants are pretty much stunted now, but just flush them out real well with plain water PHd properly. Go get some Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect. Do 1/2 strength dose of it. It works wonders to bring back a unhealthy plant due to ph or deficiency issues. I used to grow organically and had so much trouble with PH, especially in flower. Now with the PH Perfect i havent had an issue, and i am running 14 different strains, autos and photos.
If you want to use coco, start with a soil/coco mix (aka SeaSoil.com) or something like that. Ittl help give u a bt of breathing room when it comes to learning PH lol. It seems to be the rampant monster for an indoor grow lol. I was always using PH meters and test strips, Up and Down additives, PPM levels. And still i had problems keeping PH down. Im not plugging the Advanced Nutrients products or anything, they just seem IMO to be some sort of miracle of cannabis growing. I use Sensi system A+B, but they have the Connosieur and 3 part micro system too. Ill be trying the 3 part next grow. I havent even TRIED theyre bud additives or anything but the base nutes so far and I bet there will be a big difference on my next grow when i use the extra's. Im kinda doing a NO-NO rite now due to lack of funds. I mix a 1/2 to 3/4 strength PH perfect, and add some ORGANIC blooming nutes (BioThrive Bloom) to it. Im pretty sure its not reccomended, and i wont recommend it lol, but its working for me. Oh ya and dont forget the CalMag.
Good luck on your babies, i am thinking of ordering a blue mystic for next time too, Check out my 14 strain grow.... https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/748887-multi-strain-grow-600w-15-a.html (White Widow, Purple Kush, Bubblegummer, Acapulco Gold, Think Different, Super Lemon Haze, Chocolope Kush, Romulan Diesel, Strawberry-Blue, Viking Blueberry, Sweet Afghani Delicious, Critical Hog, U-Pink Kush)
I tried FFOF and it sucks, its real expensive, burnt my plants immediately pretty much and they never did recover and got worse with every watering, its way too `HOT` of a soil. The reviews i have read people either love it or hate it, seems to be no in between. Seems like poor quality control to me..........
Especially for autos. If u want easy, use plain Perlite (30%) 40% peat based soil product(eg. ProMix), and the rest worm casting, bat guano, oceanéfish compost etc. Just bottled or filtered water for the first 3 weeks, then light fertilizer doses with rain water or PH`d tap water. Stay away from manure type fertilizers they have too much nitrogen and ph can fluctuate alot in them as they are mass produced to the max and no quality control.

Hey guys thanks for the feed back! Last night I tried watering with plain pH'ed water to see how it would effect my plants & I think feeding with every watering is still the way to go. Since the last update I been stretching my plants and now I think its time to LST a bit and get the lights in real close. Let me know what you think.

Can anyone chime in and let me know if I'm close to harvesting? I can see the bud leaves yellowing and the calyxes turning orange so I know I'm close but how close?
